The 2024 Superkarts! USA Pro Tour WinterNationals marks the 15th season of the organizations premier championship program. The March 8-10 event is scheduled for the Orlando Kart Center in Orlando, Florida. Part of the new Pro Tour format is the separation of two Pro categories and the seven Semi-Pro divisions that will battle over the three days.

The second visit to the Orlando Kart Center for the SKUSA WinterNationals will feature two rounds of racing for the Semi-Pro classes and one round for the new Pro Show. The Semi-Pro will compete in Round One action on Saturday with qualifying, Prefinal and Final with Round Two contested on Sunday with the same format. The new Pro Show has the X30 and Shifter divisions held out until the end of the day where they will run a Qualifying and Super Pole session before running their Prefinal races. The main events will then be held at the end of the day on Sunday, crowning the weekend winners.

Two-time defending SKUSA Pro Tour champion Marijn Kremers making his OTK debut in the USA with RPG

Shifterkart racing has been at the core of Superkarts! USA organization and the new Pro Shifter presented by PSL Karting has a very stacked roster of 23 drivers set to battle to become the first winner of the new SKUSA Pro Show. Not on the entry list but confirmed to be competing is two-time defending champion Marijn Kremers. The Dutch driver moved to Tony Kart for the 2024 season, and returns to the USA for the first time this season racing with Rolison Performance Group. He will be teammates with last year’s WinterNationals winner and SuperNationals 26 victor Danny Formal (RPG / Kosmic) – who knows the Orlando facility more than anyone. GFC Karting is all in for the Pro Show, bringing former SKUSA Pro Tour champ Kyle Wick, race winner Jacob Gulick, Hunter Pickett and Ethan Booher. A total of two former world champs are in the field with Matheus Morgatto (PSL / Birel ART) coming off a championship at the SKUSA Winter Series. A second four-time SuperNationals winner is also in the field with Billy Musgrave carrying the Factory Karts banner in the headline division. AJ Myers continues to be among the top shifterkart drivers in the field and will lead the Magik Kart USA squad that includes Tahlon Yockel and Michael Riccio. Adding to the international flavor is the return of German driver David Trefilov (Maranello USA) to SKUSA competition.

The Speed Concepts Racing X30 Pro division features 25 drivers. Defending class champion Joe Turney is making his return to the sport after a serious leg injury in October 2023, racing in Europe this weekend. This opens the door for a new champion in 2024, however, five-time SKUSA Pro Tour title winner Ryan Norberg (RPG / Kosmic) is hunting for a sixth. A win at the SKUSA Winter Series helped get him his first trip to the top of the podium since 2022. SKUSA Winter Series champion Alessandro de Tullio (Inter MS / Kart Republic) is gunning to continue the success from Homestead, as is SuperNationals 26 winner Donovan Bonilla (RPG / Kosmic). Diego Ramos (PSL / Birel ART) is coming off victory at the Norberg Invitational event last weekend, beating a number of the top drivers in the country. Senior sophomore Brandon Carr (Trinity / Kart Republic) was the last winner at the SKUSA Winter Series, picking up that first big victory with his new team. Sodi Racing USA driver Harley Keeble (Sodi Kart) made his debut last year in Orlando and will be teamed with Dalton Hanes (Sodi Kart). Austin Garrison (SCR / Redspeed) and Hayden Jones (RPG / Kosmic) will be threats on the weekend as well.

The Sodi Racing USA KA100 Senior class will welcome a sixth different champion in six years as defending title winner Aiden Levy is not contesting the series. This opens the door for any of the 40 driver in Orlando to begin their first championship season with success at the WinterNationals. Collin Lloyd (Inter MS / Kart Republic) is the only returning race winner from 2023 earning a victory at the SpringNationals. Henry Wheeler was among the top contenders last season, making the move over to PSL Karting / Birel ART in 2024. Blake Nash (Nash / EOS) is one driver selecting to run KA100 Senior instead of X30 in the first year SKUSA will not allow Senior drivers to race in both. Connor Ferris (TFR / Kart Republic) and Finnegan Bayliff (Trinity / Kart Republic) are among the more experienced drivers still hunting for their first SKUSA Pro Tour victories along with Mick Gabriel (AEM / Kosmic) and James Overbeck (BJR / Tony Kart). Stephen Eisert signed on with Sodi Racing USA by Piquet Sports for 2024, and is among the drivers from the west coast looking to compete for wins and the championship along with Kane Martin (Nash / EOS), Lydia Small (Sodi Racing USA) and Texas driver Peyton Phillips (RPM / Tony Kart). Leading the Senior rookies in the class is Steven Miller (Nash / EOS) – who was a podium finisher at the recent Norberg Invitational.

A total of 20 drivers will battle in the X30 Junior class presented by Rolison Performance Group. The only returning winner from last year is Turner Brown – also the SuperNationals 26 champion. Brown will be making his debut with Rolison Performance Group this weekend, teaming with SKUSA Winter Series champion Diego Ardiles. His former team of Speed Concepts Racing will field Jackson Wolny and Sarah Bradley who were both impressive during the winter program. Ty Fisher (Racelab / TB Kart) is another that was showing speed this winter while Nathan Dupuis makes his SKUSA Pro Tour aboard the Parolin under the Supertune USA tent.

The largest category of the weekend is the Nash Motorsportz KA100 Junior division at 47 drivers. While former champion Steven Miller has moved up, there are still three winners from last year in this field. Enzo Vidmontiene (Trinity / Kart Republic), Isaac Malcuit (Zanella / Kart Republic) and Diego Ardiles (RPG / Kosmic) are those drivers with wins already on their CV. Sebastian Garzon (Orsolon / Tony Kart) claimed the SKUSA Winter Series title last month, putting him on the radar of contenders. Brown, Dupuis, Fisher, and Wolny are among those pulling the double duty in the Junior classes. West coast driver Payton Westcott (RPG / Kosmic), and TSRS race winner Tyrone Kemper Jr. (Nash / Gillard) can be added to that list. A number of Junior rookies are also in the field, looking to make a name for themselves in their first SKUSA Pro Tour start in KA100 Junior.

Master Shifter presented by Fury Motorsport features one of the largest fields for the WinterNationals in the last few seasons. 2023 champion Luis A. Quinones (Factory Kart) returns to defend his title while two-time SKUSA Winter Series champ Scott Barnes will make his debut with Maranello USA. His new teammate is longtime rival Joe Ruch from Indiana who has victories at the Rock Island Grand Prix and championship at Stars Championship Series to his credit. Michael Guasch (Maranello USA) is among the eldest drivers at the event, set to battle for podium spots along with Orlando regular Farshad Bagheri (TB Kart).

Just five drivers make up the Inter MS KA100 Master field, featuring race winners and champions. Tom Gerstner (Magik Kart USA) was the 2023 champion and is the eldest driver in Orlando at 67 years young. Former Pro Tour champion Mario Barrios (RPG / Kosmic) and two-time SKUSA Winter Series champion Michel Garrido (Alessandros / Tony Kart) will battle along with Alfonso Santiago (Orsolon / Tony Kart) and Jakab Nyiri (AEM / Kosmic).

No former winners are in the 38-driver field for Trinity Karting Group with defending champion Lucas Palacio competing in Europe this season and last year winners moving up to Junior ranks. Royce Vega (Team Benik) is the 2024 SKUSA Winter Series champion with last year’s champion Alessandro Truchot (PPM / Parolin) among the drivers with hardware in the field. Former Micro champion Ashton Woon (Supertune / Parolin), Marco Sammut (BJR / LN Racing Kart), Rocco Simone (Trinity / Kart Republic), Troy Ferguson (Team Benik) are among the more experienced drivers in the field. Drew Jensen (Parolin USA) and Nathan Ramirez (SLA / Parolin) are among those from the west coast in the field. Last year’s SKUSA Pro Tour Micro champion Maxwell Macha (Sodi Racing USA) is among the many Mini rookies racing this weekend.

Similar in the JNM Racing Micro Swift class, no former Pro Tour winners are in this weekend’s roster of 37 drivers. Zayne Burgess won three of the races at the SKUSA Winter Series, entering as one of the favorites in Orlando. Santiago Orioli (MPG / Kart Republic) was among the top challengers this weekend along with Wynn Godschalk (Team Benik), Easton Kubinski (AEM / Tony Kart), Liam Nachawati (PPM / Parolin), Lawrence Peremen (BJR / LN Racing Kart) and Leo Simone (Trinity / Kart Republic).
