The 2024 season is off to a great start for OTK USA race teams and competitors. The Superkarts! USA Winter Series wrapped up its 2024 championship program on February 9-11 at the AMR Homestead-Miami Motorplex, contesting the final two rounds over the weekend. A large percentage of the competitors and teams utilized the OTK chassis products with a total of seven wins for the brands including three championships.

One of the more successful classes for OTK brands was the X30 Junior division. Diego Ardiles (Rolison Performance Group / Kosmic) was able to extend his win streak to three, securing the class championship. Ardiles drove to victory in Round Three on Saturday, ahead of Jackson Wolny (Speed Concepts Racing / Redspeed). Alexander Vanchev (Zanella Racing / Tony Kart) and Sarah Bradley (Speed Concepts Racing / Redspeed) joined them in the top-five, placing fourth and fifth. It was a near sweep of the top-five in Round Four, led once again by Ardiles for his third victory over four rounds to clinch the title. Wolny was runner-up to earn a fourth straight podium result, also finishing second in the championship standings. Vanchev joined them on the race podium for his best finish of the series while Junior rookie Michael McGaughy (Ryan Perry Motorsport / Tony Kart) put in his best result of fifth.

The lone sweep of the top-five for OTK came in the KA100 Master class. Charlie Fonseca (Tony Kart) made his 2024 debut, leading the OTK top-five on Saturday. Mario Barrios (Rolison Performance Group / Kosmic) was second ahead of championship contender Miguel Mier (Orsolon Racing / Tony Kart), defending champ Michel Garrido (Alessandros Racing / EOS) and Grace Hemmerde (Rolison Performance Group / Kosmic). The Sunday main event featured Garrido coming through for the victory, his second in the series, to help him clinch the series championship. Barrios was runner-up for a second straight day with Fonseca dropping to third. Jesus Portillo (Alessandro Racing / Tony Kart) was fourth to finish third in the championship standings, one spot behind Mier for an OTK sweep of the championship podium.

The KA100 Junior class also featured two wins and a championship podium sweep for OTK brands. Sebastian Garzon (Orsolon Racing / Tony Kart) was able to earn a second win in the series with victory in Round Three. He led Diego Ardiles (Rolison Performance Group / Kosmic) and Jackson Wolny (Speed Concepts Racing / Redspeed) for an OTK 1-2-3 result. Wolny moved to the top of the podium following a wet main event, his first win of the 2024 season with Ardiles placing runner-up. Garzon earned enough points to claim the series championship with Ardiles and Wolny joining him on the podium.

The seventh victory of the weekend came in the X30 Senior division. SKUSA SuperNationals 26 winner Donovan Bonilla (Rolison Performance Group / Kosmic) was able to claim victory in Round Three in Homestead. Pauly Massimino (Brandon Jarsocrak Racing / LN Racing Kart) was fourth in the Saturday main event while Ryan Norberg (Rolison Performance Group / Kosmic) led OTK drivers on Sunday with a fourth place finish rebounding from an incident on Saturday. Norberg finished second in the series standings with Bonilla third.

Several OTK drivers were in the mix in the KA100 Senior class all weekend, recording seven top-five finishes over the two main events. Steven Miller (Nash Motorsportz / EOS) led the way both days to finish runner-up in each Final. Mick Gabriel (AEM Karting / Kosmic) joined him on the podium in third in Round Three with Donovan Bonilla (Rolison Performance Group / Kosmic) and Chase Buscaglia (GWR / Gillard) finishing fourth and fifth. An exciting finish put Valentino Garbarino (Ryan Perry Motorsport / Tony Kart) onto the podium in third on Sunday with James Overbeck (Brandon Jarsocrak Racing / Tony Kart) placing fourth in his series debut. Miller and Bonilla stood on the championship podium, finishing second and third.

It was another double podium weekend for SKUSA SuperNationals 26 winner Danny Formal (Rolison Performance Group / Kosmic) in Pro Shifter. Formal came up short compared to his double win weekend last month, placing runner-up in both main events in February. He ended up second in the championship standings as well to begin the 2024 season. OTK finished second in both main events for the Micro Swift category. Lawrence Peremen (Brandon Jarsocrak Racing / LN Racing Kart) advanced eight spots to place second in Round Three while Easton Kubinski (AEM Karting / Kosmic) nearly pulled off the win in Round Four, finishing second after placing fifth the previous day. Daniel Ramirez (Rolison Performance Group / Kosmic) was the fourth different top-five finish, earning fourth place result at the finale. Marco Sammut (Brandon Jarsocrak Racing / LN Racing Kart) was able to earn a best finish of second in Saturday’s main event while also winning both Prefinals on the weekend to advance himself up to second in the championship standings. Julian Rivera (Rolison Performance Group / Kosmic) added a fifth-place finish in Round Three.
