CKNA Grand Nationals 10 Begins Registration on September 1

The time has come. Registration for the biggest 4-cycle race in the world begins tomorrow. Just like previous years, our Divisional racers this season are being given the first opportunity to register.

Beginning on September 1 at approximately 8pm EDT / 5pm PDT, drivers whom have participated in the 2026 Divisional season will be able to register via Race Select.

For the first 48 hours, only these Divisional racers will be permitted to register for the race. On the evening of September 3, the system will open to all participants.

Please note: Due to the demand for a spot in this event, once the early access period closes for Divisional racers, all entries will be required to pay in full at the time of registration.

CKNA Grand Nationals X Information:

This years Grand Nationals will be structured similarly to last years:

  • Wednesday – Move-in day
  • Thursday – Practice Day
  • Friday – Qualifying and Heats (AM/PM sessions)
  • Saturday – Heats (AM/PM sessions)
  • Sunday – LCQ’s and Grand Finals

Classes will also be capped from the start. Due to the number of competitors expected, we will be activating waitlists immediately. If a class fills, we highly encourage you to complete registration to get yourself in cue to be added to the event.

This year’s event will follow the same format we have developed over the past few years. This unique format strikes a difficult balance between rewarding heat race winners as they progress towards the final, while at the same time not having a racers weekend devastated by having one bad session. Numerous Grands Champions in past events have suffered a DNF in a heat and been able to recover.

All competitors will be required to purchase a set of Vega VAH race tires during registration. Additional tires for practice may be purchased during registration as well as rain tires. It is highly advised to have a fresh set of Vega w6 rain tires for this event. You may bring and check-in your own set of Vega w6 rains, but you will only be allowed one set of rains for the entire weekend. No extra rain tires will be available at the event other than ones that are pre-ordered.

Pit reservations will be handled by the staff at New Castle Motorsports Park. To reserve parking, you will need to reach out via phone at 765-987-8090 between 10am & 7pm Tuesdays-Sundays. They are closed and do not answer phones on Mondays.

What is the CKNA Grand Nationals?:

The Grands is the most prestigious event in 4-cycle karting today. 10 years ago, it was a 2-day long event featuring approximately 120 racers. Now, the event has grown to exceed 500 entries in just 9 classes competing in the only 4-day long event on the CKNA schedule.

Grands has become the World Championship of 4-cycle Sprint Karting, featuring racers from all over the world. And although many of these drivers don’t race 206 in their home countries, they flock to the Grands because of the level of competition and the gravity of the event.

Grands has become the pinnacle achievement that so many karters strive to achieve. Many plan their entire season around this event. But as important as this race is to so many of its competitors, it is also a celebration of what Karting is all about. Families from all walks of life compete side by side, enjoying each other’s company and becoming lifelong friends.

Where are all the details?

As the event draws closer, we will be releasing more details including the events schedule, class order, etc.. Because of the number of competitors racing multiple classes, we do our best to accommodate this by spacing out classes. But in the interest of planning your travel, we will begin the official move-in day on Wednesday at 10am. Finals will complete Sunday at approximately 6pm on Sunday.

Grands X is coming… are you ready?
