The midway point of the 2026 Texas Sprint Racing Series featured the third round of the season traveling to the Amarillo Motorsports Park over the June 19-21 weekend. The series celebrated the Father’s Day weekend with a special Evinco Tire Bowling game during Saturday’s lunch break. The Panhandle, Texas facility welcomed competitors in the International Kart Federation and Superkarts! USA regional categories to compete around the circuit designed after the Istanbul Park in Turkey. Racing on the weekend produces three drivers sweeping in their respective categories with seven new winners on the season celebrated during the podium ceremonies on Sunday.

The KA100 Senior presented by Kart CRG USA class welcomed a third different winner on the season with Spanish driver Ruben Moya winning in a sweeping performance. Moya cleared the 39 driver field by over three tenths in qualifying ahead of defending series champion Jose Carlos Hernandez. It was Hernandez leading early before Moya came through for the opening heat win. The scenario was repeated for the second heat, this time Moya winning over Round Two winner Landon Skinner before Moya scored the Heat Three win over Hernandez. It was a wire-to-wire performance for Moya, leading all 16 laps and recording the only sub 1:07 lap times to record the victory by five seconds. Skinner was second as Colorado driver Benjamin Hyland won the battle for third over Gage Bailey and Juanjo Paramo.

The second largest class of the weekend was the Briggs 206 Senior presented by Kart Racing Solutions. Josey Chambers recorded a season-first fast time in qualifying to edge out Ragan Saville by only 57 thousandths. The two drivers led the way in the heat races with Saville taking two wins and Chambers the Heat Two win. Chambers was second and fourth with Saville runner-up to Chambers. At the start of the 14-lap Final, Saville retired after the opening lap to allow Chambers to lead the way through the first half of the race. Bryce Frank was able to grab the lead. The fight continued with Round One winner Carter Kilgo grabbing the lead at the white flag. He held on through to the checkered flag for a second victory on the season. Chambers had fast lap of the race to a second runner-up finish on the season with Frank record a first podium on the year in third. Kelvin Xing was fourth with Gunnar Ray in fifth.

KA100 Junior presented by P1 Engines also welcomed a third different winner on the season. Round One winner Nathan Golseth was the driver to beat early, setting fast lap in qualifying and winning the opening heat race. Golseth was shuffled down the order in Heat Two with Aston Wyatt taking control for the win. Clayton Stiles then stepped up in the final heat to claim the win for three different heat winners. Stiles and Easton Cox earned the front row starting spots for the Final. Golseth started in fifth was able to jump up to the lead early before Cox took over the point after the halfway point. Stiles then went to the lead for four laps before Golseth returned to the point. During the final circuit, Cox was able to grab the lead and beat Jackson Baldus to the line for the victory by 98 thousandths. Both drivers earned their first podium finish of the season, along with Alex Chandler in third. Golseth fell to fourth on the final lap with Stiles placing fifth.

Sawyer Chambers was the driver to beat early in Briggs 206 Junior presented by Orsolon Racing Texas. The Round One winner set fast time in qualifying, featuring the top four separated by only 60 thousandths. Chambers won the first two heat races before getting shuffled down the order in the third heat. Clayton Stiles took advantage to grab the win over Aston Wyatt. Stiles led the first two laps of the 14-lap Final before Wyatt took over on lap three. From there, Wyatt led the rest of the distance to claim his first series victory in the category. Stiles settled for second with Dean Gerrior recording fast lap of the race in third for the first podium on the season. Alex Chandler was fourth with Chambers ending up fifth.

A total of 15 drivers battled in Hi5 Performance KA100 Master division at Amarillo. Multi-time champion Miguel Mier set the fast time in qualifying, only 25 thousandths quicker than Nicholas Boulle. Mier went wire-to-wire in the first two heat races before Boulle took control in the third heat, bringing Daniel Howie with him. Boulle led the first eight laps of the Final before Howie took control. From there, Howie drove to his first victory of the season and the third different winner on the year. Boulle settled for second with Morgan Lebaron winning the battle for third over Mathew Cherry and Junaid Din.

Dusty Strayer was the only driver on the weekend to win twice. The first came in the Micro Swift presented by Arcane Motorsports. Strayer had a weekend long battle with Cohen Scott. It was Scott setting fast time in qualifying and winning the opening heat race before Strayer went to the top in Heat Two. Scott went on to win the third and final heat to secure the pole position for the Final. Scott led the first 14 of 15 laps in the Final before Strayer was able to pull off a last lap pass for the lead and the victory. Strayer secured his third straight class victory by over fourth tenths with Scott placing runner-up. Shepp Sullivan, fresh off a SKUSA Pro Tour SpringNationals win, was third in the order over Sebastian Kim and Alexander Repin.

Strayer’s second victory on the season came in Briggs 206 Cadet presented by Skeptic Motorsports. Mikey Todd set fast time in qualifying, edging out Strayer by 21 thousandths with Todd coming through for the win in Heat One. Second was Hayden Sampson who advanced to the win in the second heat with Strayer becoming the third different winner over the heat races. Strayer jumped out to the lead at the start of the 14-lap Final, going on to lead wire-to-wire for his first victory of the season in the category. Todd was second with Sampson joining them on the podium. Sebastian Sampson was fourth with Aiken Baudoin completing the top five.

It was a near sweep in Mini Swift presented by Alan Rudolph Racing Academy for Tyler Blackwood. After setting fast lap in qualifying, Blackwood won all three heat races in wire-to-wire performances. Blackwood only made it four laps before retiring from the 15-lap Final, ending his run at a possible victory. Mylan Bouzinac and Eyitayo Olisa battled for the lead over the next 11 laps with Olisa leading the final five circuits. Olisa celebrated a first series victory and becoming the third different winner on the season. Bouzinac was second with Round Two winner Polo Santos winning the battle for third over Landry Bridges and Sebastian Sampson.

Maverick Reddick celebrated a third straight victory in Briggs 206 Kid Karts presented by GR2 Motorsports division. The weekend was a second sweep of the season with Reddick setting fast lap in qualifying, winning all three heat races, and driving away to a 17-second advantage in the Final. Sullivan Baudoin recorded a second runner-up finish on the year with Grayson Hollis placing third for a first podium this season. Anderson Maxwell was fourth with Dallas Broussard in fifth.

Ragan Saville became the third different winner on the season in the new T4 Senior class presented by Tillotson Racing. Saville swept the action on the weekend, including a three-second margin of victory over Davis Henry.

The 2026 season for the Texas Sprint Racing Series resumes in just over two months with Mid-Summer Mashup scheduled for August 28-30 at the KartMoto facility in Cresson, Texas.
