Lawrence remains at the top over Massimino with Nash up to top three

The third edition of the 2026 eKartingNews.com TaG Driver Rankings presented by Stilo USA standings features only six additional races to add to the total of 254 drivers. Despite that, changes occurred throughout the standings with the removal of events – including the 2025 SKUSA Pro Tour SpringNationals – dropping off the 12-month sliding scale. One of the few positions to change was the top spot with Rolison Performance Group driver Gus Lawrence remaining as the leader in the standings.

The British driver now only has 11 races toward the EKN Driver Rankings since making his debut in May 2025, losing those first few outings and now only leads by 24 points over Pauly Massimino (Brandon Jarsocrak Racing / LN Kart). The North Carolina driver remains in second after improving his score, including victory at the IAME USA Grand National Championship to be within reach of the top spot as the second half of the season wraps up. Jumping up to third for the first time in Blake Nash (Nash Motorsportz / EOS). The Californian improved his score over the last month and is only 106 points out of the lead.

Holding onto fourth is Factory Karts driver Oliver Hodgson. There was no change in his score without losing or adding results for the now USA driver from the UK. Dropping out of the top three is Brazilian Diego Ramos (PSL Karting / Birelart). Losing only seven points from last month, he dropped two positions. The top five is now only separated by 114 points.

The rest of the top 10 was shuffled up from the last release of standings from April. The top rookie thus far in 2026 is Alexander Vanchev (Rolison Performance Group / Kosmic). The Florida driver improved his score to surpass the 7000 mark and improved two positions to sixth. Down one to seventh is Caden McQueen (Velocity Racing / Sodikart). The ROK Vegas 2025 winner lost about 50 points but remains above the 7000-point mark. Holding his point total the same, Canadian Ayden Ingratta (Racing Egde Motorsports / Kosmic) advanced to eight. The move is one spot with two drivers in total dropping out of the top 10.

Moving into the top 10 for this month is sophomore Senior driver Davin Roberts (Ryan Perry Motorsport / Tony Kart). A slight increase in points for the North Carolina driver has him improving five spots to ninth. Mexico driver Donovan Bonilla (Speed Concepts Racing / CS55) lost two events to his total but did not lose any points. This promoted him one spot from 11th to 10th.

Out of the top 10 are two of the drivers who have led the way in the EKN Driver Rankings standings for many years. 2025 EKN Driver of the Year Austin Garrison (Speed Concepts Racing / CS55) continues to fall down the order with his absence from the driver’s seat. He fell from seventh to 33rd, with only six races counted toward his total. The other notable is eight-time EKN Driver of the Year Ryan Norberg (Norberg Karting Academy / GFC), dropping down to 27th after sitting 10th last month. This drop in the standings marks the first time he has sat outside of the top 10 since August 2015. An amazing nearly 11-year run overall by the Florida native.

The EKN ‘On the Move’ for the month of June is Mason Kuhn (MPG Motorsports / Kart Republic). Kuhn has now recorded seven events toward the EKN Driver Rankings, dating back to the Stars King of the Castle in June 2025. He has a high score of 12th at the IAME USA Grand National Championship event in May.

TaG #1 – Gus Lawrence
West Tilbury, England

(Photo: EKN)

The British driver has set the new bar in TaG and single speed competition here in the United States. Despite the loss of 30 points from the removal of the SpringNats 2025, Lawrence remains in the top spot. Certainly his SuperNationals victory is a boost against the rest of the drivers in the standings, however, Gus has an average finish of third over the seven events. Those two third-place results at the SKUSA Pro Tour WinterNationals have the Rolison Performance Group driver in the hunt for this year’s SKUSA Pro Tour title heading into the SpringNats next weekend.

TaG #2 – Pauly Massimino
Indian Trail, North Carolina

(Photo: EKN)

The last 12 months have likely been the best performances overall for Pauly Massimino. Winning his first USPKS feature last summer, to representing Team USA at the Rotax Grand Finals in Bahrain during the winter. Massimino added more success at the IAME USA Grand National Championship to help increase his score in the EKN Driver Rankings. There is no question as to who is now the more experienced and successful drivers representing the USA at the major events.

EKN Driver Rankings Calculation Process
The EKN Driver Rankings are calculated using a driver’s best finishes in major North American races. Assembled using events from the previous 12 months from the current date, we use a driver’s best seven finishes in the TaG and Shifterkart categories to determine their overall current point total. With each new release, results posted from more than one year ago are discarded. To deliver our ranking list, we tabulate the results of all the national programs and selected regional programs. We have also included the results for the major one-off events such as the SKUSA SuperNationals, the Rock Island Grand Prix, and other special races.

Each race is initially weighted based on the prestige and history of the event or series with a score of ten (10) being the highest attainable base ranking. For 2026, the SKUSA SuperNationals will receive a score of 10 in its initial weighting in the TaG and Shifterkart categories. A base ranking of 9.5 is awarded to special events of ROK Vegas, RMC Trophy Final, and IAME Grand National Championship. The SKUSA Pro Tour carries a 9.5 for Shifterkart while a 9 base ranking for TaG. Other programs such as SKUSA Winter Series, United States Pro Kart Series, Florida Winter Tour, and RMC America’s Trophy, RMC Winter Trophy, Stars Karting Championship begin with a base ranking of 9. Other programs are given a base ranking of either 8.5 or 8.0.

The EKN staff reserves the right to adjust the rankings of each event throughout the year. A minimum entry total for any event to be considered for the Driver Rankings program is five (5). If an event does not have at least five (5) drivers starting the race, those results will not be tabulated toward the Driver Rankings.

Added to these initial rankings are two variables that help confirm the true importance of an event to the ranking process – field size and field strength. A percentage of one weighting point is added for the size of the field, while the number of existing top-50 drivers entered offers another full point or fraction of a point. The sum of these numbers becomes the overall ranking for any race.

Following a race, drivers receive points based on their finishing positions with 100 points earned for a win. Each subsequent position drops by one point with 99 points given to the second-place driver and so on throughout the field. These points are then multiplied by the overall ranking to produce a driver’s final point total from each event. Using a driver’s best seven races, we calculate each driver’s overall score and subsequent ranking.
