EKS Dominates in Lonato: Carrer Sweeps Italian ACI Karting Championship Opener

A strong start to the season for Emme Racing at the opening round of the ACI Karting Italian Championship in Lonato del Garda, with a dominant performance in OK-N Junior and positive signs in KZ2, thanks to the combined work on the EKS package and the support of strategic engine partner Modena Engines.

Total domination in OK-N Junior with Gioele Carrer

A perfect weekend for Gioele Carrer, who delivered an outstanding performance in a highly competitive field of 76 drivers.

The Emme Racing driver, racing on EKS chassis powered by Modena Engines, achieved:

  • Pole position
  • Wins in all four heats
  • Prefinal victory
  • Final victory

A complete sweep from start to finish, confirming the strength of the technical package and marking a major result for the entire team.

KZ2: recovery drive and positive signs for Moritz Ebner

A more challenging but still encouraging weekend for Moritz Ebner in the KZ2 category, again on EKS chassis with support from Modena Engines.

After difficult qualifying and a heat affected by a technical issue, Ebner delivered a strong comeback in the Prefinal, gaining 9 positions and finishing in the top 10.

In the Final, multiple on-track contacts affected the outcome, resulting in a front fairing penalty.

Despite this, the weekend provided very positive feedback on the ongoing development work, confirming the progress of the package.

A strong start to the championship

The opening round of the ACI Karting Italian Championship highlighted the competitiveness of the EKS – Modena Engines package and the strength of the work carried out by Emme Racing.

Carrer’s dominant performance and the progress shown in KZ2 provide a solid foundation for the rest of the season.
