Driver development is the core aspect under the Rolison Performance Group tent. The operation spends each race weekend working one-on-one with drivers competing within the team and continuing that narrative between events with test weekends at tracks across the country. The Oregon-based race team is set to host its 2026 Spring Training during the month of May.

From May 14 to May 17, Rolison Performance Group will host its 2026 Spring Training in the Pacific Northwest. Drivers can expect to be tested both on and off track, including hundreds of laps focused on qualifying processes, racecraft, and more aspects into driver development. The Spring Training will be led by Ben Cooper and Mike Rolison.

“We have enjoyed offering our RPG Training for the last few years,” stated Rolison Performance Group owner Mike Rolison. “Our goal is to find a time in the season to bring drivers together and have the opportunity to get on track with potential new team drivers. These days allow us to dive into fundamentals and specific areas each driver needs to improve on.”

Each RPG Training event provides the opportunity to race with current and new drivers. During the 2025 Fall Training event, RPG welcomed Travis Pettit for the first time under the tent. The introduction has led to a successful relationship over the last year.

Pettit told EKN how helpful it was to take part in the RPG Training; “Last year’s training with RPG was a big step for me as it was the first time I was able to work closely with everyone since joining. Being around the whole RPG group, running laps on a new track, and being pushed by other drivers is exactly what every driver needs to be better. It’s the kind of environment where you don’t have a choice but to improve.”

The 2026 Rolison Performance Group Spring Training will feature coaching from four-time SKUSA Super Nationals winner and four-time Rotax Grand Finals champion Ben Cooper. The now Canadian has worked with and raced under the RPG tent for the last several seasons, including two straight SuperNats victories in the KA100 Master category. For decades Cooper has provided elite level coaching no matter the level of experience for the driver.

Cooper stated, “For a number of years now we have raced with drivers in our RPG Spring Training, I can remember March of 2018 doing Spring Training at NOLA Motorsports Park at the crack of dawn with our young drivers. We all put in the time, and it catapulted those drivers to the next level!”
