Champions of the Future America (COTF America), the North American extension of Champions of the Future (COTF), seeks to emulate its European counterpart as a launch pad for drivers who dream of reaching F1 and other top-tier motorsport series.

COTF, an international karting series founded in 2020 by RGMMC Group, has seen its overseas alumni go on to sign for some of the most prestigious teams and manufacturers, including Ferrari, McLaren, Mercedes, Red Bull, Williams, and Audi.

Kimi Antonelli, the Mercedes driver who last weekend in Shanghai became F1’s youngest-ever polesitter and second-youngest grand prix winner, competed regularly in COTF between 2020 and 2022. Payton Westcott, the Mercedes-backed American who claimed her maiden F1 Academy podium last weekend (also in Shanghai), competed in the 2024 Champions of the Future Academy Program (COFTA) before stepping up to single-seaters the following year. And Arvid Lindblad, the British rookie at Red Bull F1’s sister team, Racing Bulls, won the inaugural COTF OK-J Championship in 2020 at age 13 on his way to signing with the Red Bull Junior Team in 2021. But this list is by no means complete, as many other drivers who have competed in COTF are now embedded in F1 driver development or junior programs.

COTF America currently includes six classes with racers ranging from young beginners to experienced adults, competing across nine rounds at two of the Southwest’s premier karting circuits: K1 Circuit in Winchester, CA, and Spring Mountain Karting Complex in Pahrump, NV.

The next round takes place this weekend, March 21-22 at K1 Circuit, running a reverse layout for the first time in the track’s history. The track layout is the Pro Track Layout with “D’s”, and “Tic-Tac-Toe” – in reverse!
