2026 eKartingNews.com Driver Rankings presented by Stilo USA – TaG – March 9
Garrison continues leading with Lawrence jumping McQueen to begin new season
The first edition of the 2026 eKartingNews.com TaG Driver Rankings presented by Stilo USA has been tabulated following the first two months of the season. Nine events in total, including 13 main events have been added to the results standings for the shifting 12-month program, featuring 11 races with a base ranking of 9. This has shuffled up the order throughout the 248 drivers recording a race, including the top-10 that only saw three drivers hold their positions. Among them is the #1 TaG driver from 2025, Austin Garrison.
Despite losing points with the drop of the winter programs in 2025, Speed Concepts Racing driver Garrison remains at the top of the EKN TaG Driver Rankings. He maintains a 50 point lead, now over British driver Gus Lawrence (Rolison Performance Group / Kosmic). The SuperNationals 28 winner used his SKUSA Winter Series results to leap over fellow Brit Caden McQueen (Velocity Racing / Sodikart).
Diego Ramos (PSL Karting / Birelart) makes it three international drivers inside the top five, remaining in the fourth position. The Brazilian lost a few points despite a solid winter campaign at both SKUSA and Rotax. Up three spots to fifth is Pauly Massimino (Brandon Jarsocrak Racing / LN Kart). A win at the SKUSA Winter Series helped to increase his score by 42 points and move him into the top five prior to hitting the SKUSA Pro Tour WinterNationals.
The EKN ‘On the Move’ for March in the TaG Driver Rankings is Oliver Hodgson. The new Factory Karts driver was busy this winter, competing at both SKUSA Winter Series and RMC Winter Trophy at Speedsportz. The IAME USA Grand National Championship and the US Trophy Final were the only results he recorded in 2025. Seven top five finishes in eight rounds of racing helped Hodgson move up 123 spots to sixth. He and Massimino moved Ryan Norberg down to seventh. The now GFC Karting driver and Norberg Karting Academy owner lost his results from the SKUSA Winter Series in 2025 and has yet to get back behind the wheel for 2026. His limited schedule in 2026 could see him fall out of the top 10 for the first time in over a decade. Another driver to lose a spot was Blake Nash (Nash Motorsportz / EOS). The Californian gained seven points, recording a best result of runner-up at the SKUSA Winter Series opener.
Ayden Ingratta (Racing Edge Motorsports / Kosmic) makes it four different countries represented in the top 10. The Canadian improved two spots to ninth, gaining nearly 100 points thanks to third at the opening round of the SKUSA Winter Series and victory at the series finale at Speedsportz. Completing the top 10 and remaining in the tenth spot is Frankie Mossman (Speed Concepts Racing / CS55). Mossman’s score remained unchanged as he did not compete in a Driver Rankings event, coming off a victory at the Champions of the Future America Series in KA100 Senior. Mossman returns to car racing, competing in the USF Pro 2000 Championship, kicking off this weekend at the Grand Prix of Arlington in Texas.
Falling out of the top 10 from the end of the 2025 season is Collin Lloyd (Velocity Racing / Sodikart). The Florida driver was ninth and fell to 46th, losing his winter results from last year and has also moved back to KA100 Senior where he won the SKUSA Winter Series championship for 2026. Down to 99th with only three races counted is British driver Joe Turney (MPG Motorsports / Kart Republic). The 2025 SKUSA Winter Series champion lost all four of his wins from a year ago. He is expected to return back to the USA for select races, however, his rise up toward the top of the EKN Driver Rankings will be based on the amount of races he competes in.

TaG #1 – Austin Garrison
Davie, Florida

(Photo: Nate Dean – EKN)
The start of the 2026 season is the beginning of watch Garrison drop down the standings. The 2024 USPKS and 2025 SKUSA Pro Tour champion is not scheduled to defend his Superkarts! USA championship in 2026. The Speed Concepts Racing driver is working as the team’s driver coach but is not scheduled to strap on the helmet anytime soon. Garrison lost 37 points with the removal of the 2025 winter programs from the standings. The longer he stays away, the further he will drop in the standings and this could be the last we see of Garrison at the top of the EKN Driver Rankings.

TaG #2 – Gus Lawrence
West Tilbury, England

It has been nearly a year since Gus Lawrence made his debut competing in the United States, and it was a quick rise toward the top of the EKN Driver Rankings. The big win for the Brit at SuperNationals 28 certainly helped to boost his score, bringing him into the top three. The SKUSA Winter Series 2026 results helped to improve his score by 35 points, with the Rolison Performance Group driver on the verge of taking over the top spot. As a contender for much of 2025, Lawrence could be the target everyone is aiming for in 2026.

TaG #3 – Caden McQueen
Milton Keynes, England

(Photo: Cody Schindel – CKN)
It was a limited start to the 2026 season for Caden McQueen as the Velocity Racing driver started the year racing just the ROK Cup USA Florida Winter Tour. Three top five finishes in the Sunshine State put him second in the championship, just 18 from the title. His win at Round Two in Orlando was added to his total, but the results removed from last year’s SKUSA Winter Series equated into losing over 100 points. Reviewing his results from the SKUSA Pro Tour in 2025, the Brit has room to improve in 2026.

EKN Driver Rankings Calculation Process
The EKN Driver Rankings are calculated using a driver’s best finishes in major North American races. Assembled using events from the previous 12 months from the current date, we use a driver’s best seven finishes in the TaG and Shifterkart categories to determine their overall current point total. With each new release, results posted from more than one year ago are discarded. To deliver our ranking list, we tabulate the results of all the national programs and selected regional programs. We have also included the results for the major one-off events such as the SKUSA SuperNationals, the Rock Island Grand Prix, and other special races.
Each race is initially weighted based on the prestige and history of the event or series with a score of ten (10) being the highest attainable base ranking. For 2026, the SKUSA SuperNationals will receive a score of 10 in its initial weighting in the TaG and Shifterkart categories. A base ranking of 9.5 is awarded to special events of ROK Vegas, RMC Trophy Final, and IAME Grand National Championship. The SKUSA Pro Tour carries a 9.5 for Shifterkart while a 9 base ranking for TaG. Other programs such as SKUSA Winter Series, United States Pro Kart Series, Florida Winter Tour, and RMC America’s Trophy, RMC Winter Trophy, Stars Karting Championship begin with a base ranking of 9. Other programs are given a base ranking of either 8.5 or 8.0.
The EKN staff reserves the right to adjust the rankings of each event throughout the year. A minimum entry total for any event to be considered for the Driver Rankings program is five (5). If an event does not have at least five (5) drivers starting the race, those results will not be tabulated toward the Driver Rankings.
Added to these initial rankings are two variables that help confirm the true importance of an event to the ranking process – field size and field strength. A percentage of one weighting point is added for the size of the field, while the number of existing top-50 drivers entered offers another full point or fraction of a point. The sum of these numbers becomes the overall ranking for any race.
Following a race, drivers receive points based on their finishing positions with 100 points earned for a win. Each subsequent position drops by one point with 99 points given to the second-place driver and so on throughout the field. These points are then multiplied by the overall ranking to produce a driver’s final point total from each event. Using a driver’s best seven races, we calculate each driver’s overall score and subsequent ranking.
