In January, Race Rotax announced the creation of the RMC America’s Trophy program. The two events, four round championship is set to begin on March 20-22 at the Musselman Honda Circuit in Tucson, Arizona. The international program is a pathway to one of the most prestigious karting events in the world – the 2026 Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals.

Race Rotax is coming off hosting the RMC Winter Trophy at the Speedsportz Racing Park in New Caney, Texas, welcoming over 100 drivers from around the globe to compete in back-to-back weekends. Six tickets to the 2026 RMC Grand Finals – scheduled for November 21-28 in Portimão, Portugal – were awarded following four rounds of racing with drivers from Argentina, UK, Canada, and the United States earned their chance to compete at the ‘Olympics of Karting’.

The new RMC America’s Trophy is offering five Rotax Max Challenge categories within the championship program. Senior MAX, Junior MAX, Masters MAX, Mini MAX and Micro MAX. To fill out the class roster for the inaugural season is the FZ Shifter categories of FZ85 Junior and FZ125 Senior divisions.

A total of four tickets to the 2026 Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals headline the prize package for the new RMC America’s Trophy program. The champion in the best three of four format for Senior MAX, Junior MAX and Mini MAX all earn a ticket to the RMC Grand Finals along with the vice-champion in Senior MAX. Champions in Micro MAX, Masters MAX along with FZ85 and FZ125 all earn a paid entry to the RMC US Trophy Final. Additional prizes to be announced later.

The FZ Shifter platform will be making its major event debut at the RMC America’s Trophy championship, along with one-off RMC Trophy Final event scheduled for July 31-August 2 at the New Castle Motorsports Park. The FZ Shifter platform is a complete engine line promoting spec shifterkart racing across the country. Currently, clubs and series throughout the southwestern portion of the United States have already utilized the FZ Shifter platform during the 2025 season with expanded growth planned for 2026. Race Rotax and Karting Solutions Group are offing a ‘Register and Save’ promotion for the new FZ Shifter categories.
