The week of Thanksgiving 2025 featured a multitude of announcements from the United States Pro Kart Series as it begins to map out its upcoming 14th season. Through their social media accounts, USPKS confirmed the four locations for the 2026 schedule along with announcing updates to format and class structure.

The 14th season of the United States Pro Kart Series will begin on April 10-12 at the Trackhouse Motorplex. The Mooresville, North Carolina facility was site of the inaugural event back in 2013 and has remained on the schedule for all 14 seasons. The same can be said for New Castle Motorsports Park, which will host the second round of the 2026 season on June 26-28. Throughout all 14 years of USPKS, the New Castle, Indiana facility has been on the schedule.

The third round of the 2026 USPKS schedule takes the series back to the Motorsports Country Club of Cincinnati for the Cincinnati Grand Prix on August 7-9. The Batavia, Ohio circuit was on the USPKS schedule in 2023 and 2024.

The Lorain Ohio Kartplex opened during the end of the 2025 summer and is slated to host the United States Pro Kart Series finale in 2026. The Lake Erie Grand Prix will take place on September 25-27 at the Lorain, Ohio facility, located just outside the Cleveland metro area.

One of the first announcements made during the Thanksgiving week for the United States Pro Kart Series was the weekend format change. Qualifying remains unchanged at five laps. Two heats will now be contested and the points from these races will line up the drivers for a new Superheat which will replace the third heat. The Superheat – which will be more laps than a normal heat race – will be 50% of the points for the main event grid with each heat counting for 25% of the points tabulation for the Final lineup.

In additional news, the class structure for United States Pro Kart Series has expanded for the 2026 season. Pro Shifter returns after the class was initially offered in 2023. A lack of entries for the 2024 opener forced officials to drop the category for the season and it will now return two years later. Three additional categories will be added for the 2026 season. USPKS is adding a KZ Masters class, along with a KZ Super Masters category for drivers 45 years and older. Both will compete in the same race group with each division scored separately. KA100 Super Masters (for drivers 45 years and older) will be added for the 2026 season and will race within a group including KA100 Masters, scored separately.

Details surrounding upgrades to their video marshalling system and the 2026 season prize package will be announced in an official press release from United States Pro Kart Series.
