CB10 Memorial Race Set for September 21 at Spokane Kart Racing Association

The Spokane Kart Racing community will gather on September 21, for the last club race of the season to celebrate one of its most dynamic and beloved competitors, Carson Blakesly, whose journey from a wide-eyed eight-year-old Cadet 206 driver to a regional champion and mentor has left an indelible mark on the sport.

Carson’s racing career began with a roar and never let up. He quickly rose through the ranks, capturing the Cadet 206 Championship and setting the SKRA Cadet 4-cycle track record—powered by a predator motor, no less. His legendary duel with Riley Miller, featuring an astonishing 28 passes, remains one of the most talked-about races in club history, ending with Carson’s signature victory.

As he transitioned into Junior racing, Carson competed in both 4-cycle and 2-cycle classes, ultimately clinching a regional title in Junior TAG. Throughout his career, he raced exclusively with Italian Motorsports, a partnership that fueled his relentless pursuit of excellence.

Carson’s final chapter on the track was spent wrenching for Midnight Motorsports, where he shifted gears from competitor to mentor. His guidance helped shape the next generation of racers, and his presence in the paddock was as impactful as his performance on the circuit.

Known for his fierce determination and near-constant podium finishes, Carson was a force to be reckoned with on race day. Off the track, he was the heart and humor of the paddock—always cracking jokes, stirring up mischief, and adventuring with the very competitors he battled wheel-to-wheel with.

Carson Blakesly’s legacy is one of passion, grit, and camaraderie. As we look to honor his legacy for the years to come, the Spokane Kart Racing Club wants to honor his contributions with the first annual CB10 Memorial race. Join us for reverse track to celebrate the end of the season and the memory of one remarkable racer.
