The following is a statement received by EKN from Ryan Norberg

After seven incredible years, my partnership with Rolison Performance Group has come to an end. This team has been such an important part of my journey, and I want to extend my deepest gratitude to Mike Rolison for believing in me and giving me the opportunity of a lifetime.

When I first joined RPG, I believed in what we could achieve, but I never could have imagined the level of success we would share—seven national championships, a SuperNationals win, ROK Vegas victory, IAME Grand Nationals, Rotax Nationals, and countless other race wins along the way. Mike’s relentless drive, his pursuit of excellence, and his commitment to building such a talented team made my career possible. He gave me a seat that every driver dreams of, and I’ll always be grateful for the opportunities and the lessons I’ve taken with me.

I also want to thank Alex Vincent and Jone Teixeira for their dedication, expertise, and unwavering support. Their impact on my growth as a driver and as a teammate is something I’ll carry with me forever.

With this chapter closing, I’ve also made the decision to retire from a full-time karting schedule. While stepping away from racing at this level is bittersweet, it’s a decision that comes from a place of excitement for what’s ahead.

Since opening the Norberg Karting Academy in 2023, I’ve discovered a passion for mentoring drivers that runs deeper than my own results on track. Watching my students grow—whether they’re competing locally, regionally, or nationally—has inspired me in ways I never expected. More importantly, seeing them develop into competitors who carry themselves with integrity on and off the track has become my greatest source of pride.

Thanks to the growth of the Academy in just the past year, I am dedicating myself fully to building a program that gives the next generation of drivers opportunities like the ones I was fortunate enough to have.

Together with my wife, Shelbey, I’m excited for this next chapter. This is not a farewell to the sport—it’s a new beginning. Although my full-time racing career is over, my involvement in karting will only become stronger, more meaningful, and more unique. I look forward to sharing more soon about the future of the Academy, but for now, I want to thank everyone who has been part of this incredible journey with me.
