PEDRO CUETO: POWER OF A DREAM, a new sports documentary from Brendan Bowers and Dalton Media Films, will premiere on September 5 at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles during opening night of the Silicon Beach Film Festival.

The documentary follows 10-year-old karting driver and racing champion Pedro Cueto, Jr., who was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called Ewing’s Sarcoma at age 8. Despite the diagnosis, Pedro continues to race, and continues to win.

The documentary meets Pedro and his family as he prepares to compete at the SuperKarts! USA SuperNationals in Las Vegas—an event known as the Super Bowl of karting—just days before Pedro is scheduled to undergo leg amputation surgery.

“We are looking forward to premiering Pedro Cueto: Power of a Dream at the Silicon Beach Film Festival,” said Peter Greene, Festival Director. “Pedro’s message is powerful and inspirational, and we’re excited to share his story with our audience.”

Pedro is racing around the world to inspire children battling cancer to keep chasing their dreams. A Colorado state karting champion, he is the first 10-year-old amputee driver to race in both Europe and the United States in the same season. Pedro will return to SuperNationals in November as he continues to pursue his dream of becoming a Formula 1 driver.

“I created this documentary because Pedro’s story is important,” said Brendan Bowers of Dalton Media Films. “He’s a superfast driver and fun-loving kid who fearlessly races through life. He inspired me more than anyone I’ve ever met and we can all learn a lot from him.”
