In a continued effort to highlight the many outstanding performances by drivers around the country, eKartingNews.com is proud to introduce the ‘Driver of the Month’ program. Each month, the staff at EKN will determine the one driver who stood out above the rest and give the viewers a chance to know exactly what they accomplished and who they are.

April featured many karting events across the United States, from North Carolina to California. One of the largest categories from coast to coast is the Senior 100cc divisions at all levels of karting. Among the top drivers in the west, and in the USA is Keagan Kaminski. The GFC / Formula Works driver earned a third straight victory to sweep the first half of the Superkarts! USA ProKart Challenge season for 2025 while also extending his championship lead at the Challenge of the Americas program with two podium results.

The SKUSA ProKart Challenge visited the new Spring Mountain Karting facility for the first time in series history over the April 12-13 weekend for the third round of the 2025 season. Kaminski, the 2024 series champion and Junior champion in 2023, was able to double up in the win column at the series double header opener at the K1 Circuit at the end of February. The Pahrump, Nevada circuit features a replica of the old X-Plex layout, which hosted the SKUSA SuperNationals from 1997 to 2001. Kaminski was only 46 thousandths off from sweeping the weekend in the 37-driver field. That was the difference in qualifying as Aiden Kempf posted fast lap of 47.210 to lead the way in the session. Kaminski fell back to third early in the Prefinal but fought his way to the lead by lap eight, going on to take the race win. Starting from the pole position, Kaminski was able to jump out to the lead early and lead all 24 laps to secure a third straight victory.

Two weeks later, Kaminski began the second half of the 2025 Challenge of the Americas, visiting the Sonoma Raceway over the April 25-27 weekend. The Sonoma, California facility hosted Round Five and Round Six of the championship with Kaminski leading the standings. Kaminski was fourth of 41 drivers in qualifying to begin the action in Round Five and improved to third in the Prefinal. Rain moved into the area come main event time with Kaminski maintaining the fourth position throughout the 20-lap battle with the weather, promoted to the podium in third following an underweight DQ for Stephen Eisert. His finish was best of those in the championship chase.

The following day, Keagan continued with the P4 theme, finishing the qualifying session for Round Six in that position. Wild action late in the Prefinal dropped Kaminski back to eighth at the end of the 14-lap run to place him on the outside of row four for the Final. He quickly worked up into fourth behind Zachary Claman DeMelo while Saturday winner Chase Hand and Stephen Eisert ran nose to tail at the front. Contact between the two leaders on the final lap sent Hand spinning, allowing Eisert to run to the provisional win with Kaminski crossing the line in third. Eisert was penalized for contact, promoting Claman DeMelo to the top of the podium with Kaminski moving to second, recording a fourth straight podium result at The Challenge.

Kaminski leads the ProKart Challenge championship chase heading into the second half of the season by 133 points over Shea Aldrich. The season continues June 21-22 with a return to the K1 Circuit for Round Four. The series finale for 2025 Challenge of the Americas is the weekend before, traveling to the newly renamed Burt Brothers Motorpark in Grantsville, Utah over Father’s Day weekend – June 13-15. Kaminski leads the championship chase by 59 points over GFC / Formula Works teammate Johnie Stamps.

What are your goals in racing? I want to be a well-rounded and respected racer that has opportunities to go racing in many different types of cars.
In a few words, how would you describe your driving style? I have recently become more confident in my abilities as a driver. I am focused and determined.
