If you’ve ever looked at Rob Howden and David Cole trackside, and been envious of a full-time job in karting, this could be your opportunity. We’re looking to add an all-purpose crew member to be part of all facets of our program. Maybe you have a mundane job where you watch clock until you’re allowed to go home. Well, this could be the start of a career working the sport you love, talking and writing about karting for a living, working in the industry. We need a person with a wide range of skills, but a knowledge and passion for our sport is paramount. Our policy at EKN is all about teamwork, so our new hire will be part of all our content, including our podcast and videocast on-air team. Graphic design skills and sales experience would also be highly favorable.

This is a remote position that will allow you to work from home in a professional atmosphere and workspace. There will be some event attendance travel as well as weekend support for the EKN Team’s efforts from your home office.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Editorial, content production, editing for the website and EKN advertising partners, such as race reports, press releases, human interest stories, industry profiles, podcast commercials, and podcast scripts
  • Podcast and videocasts – script writing, on-air co-hosting
  • Advertising / partner support and deliverables production
  • Social media management – developing and posting content for EKN and clients
  • Aid in graphic design work, including social media content and advertising design

Qualifications:

  • Passion for karting a must, and experience within the sport in a multitude of areas would be a benefit
  • Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • Sales experience in working with customers and clients
  • Strong communications skills required for on-air podcast and videocasts, and for interaction with EKN marketing partners
  • Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop (and Illustrator) is necessary for graphic design component
  • In-depth and working understanding of social media management – experience with Facebook, X, and Instagram
  • Must be willing to travel to events throughout the United States as needed, and work weekends from home office to support EKN staff that is trackside
  • Must reside within continental United States
