Route 66 Sprint Series Releases 2025 Schedule
The Route 66 Sprint Series is delighted to release the 2025 race schedule. As the Midwest’s only major regional karting series to offer both 2 and 4 cycle racing, the Route 66 Sprint Series offers a uniquely balanced experience while focused on ‘Great Tracks, Great Racing and Great Family Fun!’ Whether you’re using the series as a stepping stone on your career path to professional racing, or you’re racing for the pure joy and fun that accompanies a motorsports hobby, the Route 66 Sprint Series is the place to race in 2025.
When creating a schedule, many factors go into selecting the dates and locations for each event. Racer input, track availability, and avoiding schedule overlap so everyone has an opportunity to race with Route 66 or other series events, are a few of the factors that go into developing a schedule. With that, the Route 66 Sprint Series is excited to release its 2025 schedule.
The Route 66 Sprint Series will open in central Indiana on April 25-27 at Whiteland Raceway Park. WRP is a beautifully rebuilt facility that provides great racing and great amenities to the karting community. Thanks to the hospitality of Andy O’Gara and Sarah Fisher, the ceremony honoring the 2024 class champions and award winners will be held during the WRP weekend. WRP’s recently announced partnership with K1 Speed will surely make this venue even more popular!
The program heads north for Round 2 at the Briggs & Stratton Motorplex at Road America on June 13-15. Tucked neatly into the ‘Carousel Corner’ of the famed four-mile Road America road course is a gem of a karting circuit that combines high speed straights, downhill twists, and challenging corners that make this a driver’s track. Located in Elkhart Lake, WI, the ‘Motorplex’ features a sideshow of racing on the big track, elevating everyone’s passion for speed and motorsports over the race weekend.
July 18-20 marks the return of a past facility with a new future hosting Round 3 of the Route 66 Sprint Series schedule. Norway, IL has long been home to a karting facility that was a mainstay on the Route 66 schedule of years gone by. New pavement, new owners – Mario DeMaria and Jeff Lohmar – and a new name, the return to the Norway Motorsports Park will be one to put on the calendar. Route 66 is excited and honored to be one of the first major series to revisit this historic venue.
The season finale for Route 66 Sprint Series is slated for August 22-24 where the Badger Kart Club at Mill-Rite Raceway graciously rolls out the red carpet for Round 4. With the biggest kart club in the area, fresh pavement and curbing, and plenty of local talent, the event at the Dousman, WI facility is sure to create exciting championship story lines.
The popular ‘Family Fun Saturday’ will continue in 2025 with an evening cookout for everyone in attendance, including games and competitions, along with the ‘Fun Zone’ inflatables for the kids.
Full details on the class structure and format for 2025 will be released soon. The 2024 season was a great success and the same focus on great racing at great tracks with lots of fun for the entire family.
