Whiteland Raceway Park Under K1 Management in 2025

The following is a letter from Andy and Sarah O’Gara from the Whiteland Raceway Park regarding the future of the facility

Good morning to our Whiteland Raceway Park and Indy Karting Challenge Family,

Sarah and I want to take this opportunity to share some exciting news with you all! Beginning on December 1, 2024 we will officially kick off a long term partnership with K1 Circuit. K1 will take over daily management of Whiteland Raceway Park and the Indy Karting Challenge, through the faces and relationships you’ve developed will not change. We will be excited to welcome back the Whiteland Raceway Park and Indy Karting Challenge staff for 2025 and beyond. We will still be involved ourselves as well! The commitments we’ve made to the IKC Club and to the various visiting series / sanctioning bodies will not change either.

Sarah and I view this as nothing but a positive for Whiteland Raceway Park and for the Indy Karting Challenge. This new opportunity is not something that we have taken lightly but is something that we have explored and prayed on a great deal over the last 18+ months. As a family, with multiple other business commitments, growing kiddos, the ever shrinking commitments of life, a crazy racing schedule of our own and with all that we have invested over the last 7 years – this is the right move for us at this time. This will not only ensure the current levels of health and success for Whiteland Raceway Park and for the Indy Karting Challenge for years to come, but it will present new and exciting growth opportunities that are simply not possible without K1.

We have worked with K1 on multiple other ventures over the last few years and they have been absolutely great. They have always lived up to everything they said they were going to do and their passion and love for the sport is unmatched. David Danglard, K1 Speed Founder & CEO, and his team are truly some of the most professional people you will ever meet in the sport of karting. I think with what we’ve all seen from K1 over the last few years; whether it be in regards to their growing indoor karting sector with K1 Speed, their beautiful new outdoor K1 Circuit in Southern California, the continued success and growth of K1 Race Gear, the addition of the Freem brand (and others), as well as their new partnership with KART SIM – (all just to name a few) – the future is beyond bright! This group consists of some of the best, brightest and most successful leader in karting and we are excited to watch them take WRP and IKC to new heights.

In closing, Sarah and I wish to express a most sincere and heartfelt thank you to each and every one of you for your support over the last 7 years. The re-birth and renovation of Whiteland Raceway Park has been one of the most rewarding things we’ve ever done. We are humbled and honored to have been a part of it all and we sincerely hope the we will be remembered as good stewards of the sport during this time. We truly believe we are leaving the facility and club in the best hands possible and we ask that everyone give this group a chance. 2025 will be the best year yet! We will announce a live Q&A session later in the off-season, in the meantime please continue to use Discord and customers@racewrp.com with any questions and we will do our best to get back with you at our earliest convenience. We appreciate your support and understanding with this transition. Thank you so very much. We love you all and we’ll see you at the track real soon!

Happy Holidays,

Andy & Sarah
