Micro Swift

The Micro Swift division will welcome an eighth different winner during this year’s SuperSunday. The class made its debut in 2016 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, welcoming six different winners from four different countries – Brazil, Great Britian, USA and Australia. The sold out field of 46 drivers features 18 drivers returning from last year while a majority of the field will be making their SuperNationals debut.
The last three Micro Swift winners hail from the USA – Keelan Harvick, Jackson Gibson and Maxwell Macha. The graduation of Macha to the Mini level opens the door for a new driver to add their name to the historic record books. One thing that can be duplicated is a driver winning both the SKUSA Pro Tour championship and the SuperNationals in the same year as Macha did in 2023.
That opportunity is on the horizon for Zayne Burgess (Sodi USA by Velocity Racing). Burgess went on a storm in 2024, picking up several championships, including the SKUSA Winter Series, Florida Winter Tour, SKUSA Pro Tour, United States Pro Kart Series, and Stars Championship Series. It will be a second start at SuperNationals for the Florida driver, who will be looking to improve on his 24th place finish from a year ago. The top five in the SKUSA Pro Tour standings will be in Vegas, and all look to be among the top contenders. Wynn Godschalk (Team Benik) finished second and has been competing in Europe during the second half of the season, and he enters coming off victory at the USPKS finale. Like Burgess, Godschalk is making his second SuperNationals start after placing 22nd in 2023. Santiago Orioli (MPG Academy / OKP) has been among the top challengers for Burgess, finishing third in SKUSA Pro Tour standings. He was runner-up in the USPKS, SKUSA Winter Series and FWT. The Venezuelan from Florida is making his first SuperNationals start. Leo Simone (Trinity Karting Group) is another driver set for a first start at the SKUSA SuperNationals. The Canadian finished fourth in the SKUSA Pro Tour standings. Costa Rican Daniel Ramirez (Rolison Performance Group) finished the season fifth in the SKUSA championship standings, among the four different winners on the season. He will also be making a first SuperNationals start.

Three drivers who finished in the top 10 a year ago will be in the field once again. Iver Spence (Parolin USA) from New Zealand finished one step off the podium in sixth and returns for a second SuperNationals start. He is among the 14 drivers from outside the USA competing this year. California driver Aidan Go (Team Solo) was eighth on SuperSunday in 2023. Aidan was able to secure two wins this season at the California ProKart Challenge. Cameron Johnson (Franklin Motorsports) drove to ninth and put together a strong second half of 2024 where he finished third in the USPKS championship chase. The only driver making a third start in the Micro Swift class at the SuperNationals is Lawrence Peremen (BJR/MDR). The driver from New Jersey has a best finish of 25th over the last two Vegas outings. He finished fifth at the SKUSA Winter Series.
Other notables in the field include Nitro Kart driver Jayden Francisco (Ryan Perry Motorsport), who stepped up as a contender during the second half of the season and won his class at the CKNA Grand Nationals 8. Danny O’Gara (MPG Academy) will arrive with a title in the Route 66 Sprint Series program following a third at the SKUSA Winter Series program. Cam Becker (MPG Academy) is returning from Italy where he was part of Team USA at the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals, finishing an impressive ninth.
