The United States Pro Kart Series is announcing a change at the helm of its tech department.  Long-time Tech Director Rick Jump has departed the organization following the USPKS Wisconsin Grand Prix to pursue other opportunities.

Mr. Jump was with the United States Pro Kart Series since its inception in 2013, developing the rule structure the series followed for the last 12 seasons and was instrumental in assembling the best karting tech team in the USA.  The series would like to thank Rick for his contributions and wish him well in his future endeavors.

Effectively immediately, former Assistant Tech Director, Al Weisensel, will take over the role of Tech Director for the USPKS.  Al has been with USPKS for many years and is highly regarded and respected as one of the top tech officials in the country.

In addition to working for USPKS and the Route 66 Sprint Series, Al is involved in performing tech in other forms of motorsports, including Legends cars. Al’s son, Porter Weisensel, is also USPKS Head Flagman.  The series is looking forward to more of the same professionalism going forward.  Direct contact to Mr. Weisensel regarding tech enquires or concerns can be done via email to al@uspks.com.

The next stop of the 2024 United States Pro Kart Series is scheduled for August 9-11 at the Motorsports Country Club of Cincinnati for the Ohio Grand Prix at the Batavia, Ohio facility. Registration is currently open, with event details and registration links available at uspks.com.
