Coming off a successful Superkarts! USA Pro Tour SpringNationals, Speed Concepts Racing has expanded its roster for the remainder of the 2024 season with the addition of Junior driver Diego Ardiles. The Costa Rican who calls Doral, Florida home will make the move to the SCR tent for the upcoming United States Pro Kart Series Wisconsin Grand Prix at the Mill-Rite Raceway on June 28-30.

“We are thrilled to welcome Diego to our driver roster,” stated Mike Speed of Speed Concepts Racing. “He is among the top Junior drivers in North America and we hope to further develop his talents on and off the track.”

Diego Ardiles is scheduled to compete in both X30 Junior and KA100 Junior competition with Speed Concepts Racing. He has two wins this season in the SKUSA X30 class, and sits second in the championship, along with two wins in four rounds for the KA category, leading the point standings. Ardiles is the current championship leader in the USPKS X30 Junior standings and sits fourth in the KA100 Junior title chase after two rounds.

Ardiles joins a stellar Junior lineup for Speed Concepts Racing that includes Jackson Wolny, Sarah Bradley, Felipe Jesus Benito and William Kim. Wolny claimed three podium finishes, including an X30 Junior victory at the SKUSA Pro Tour SpringNationals in a double duty effort. Bradley finished a weekend high of fourth in the X30 Junior Sunday main event while Benito recorded two top-11 results. Wyatt Downing posted his best finish on the season in Ohio, improving every KA100 Junior session under the tutelage of Speed Concepts Racing staff.

New to the SCR tent in Ohio was Jakub Kolar, who placed a career-best sixth in the Pro X30 division main event. Santiago Fernandez recorded a top-10 result in his Speed Concepts Racing debut in the Pro X30 class. Speed Concepts Racing enters the USPKS Wisconsin Grand Prix leading the X30 Pro championship with driver coach and lead driver Austin Garrison at the top of the standings.
