The 108th running of the Indianapolis 500 – the ‘Greatest Spectacle in Racing’ – is scheduled for May 26, 2024 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Hundreds of thousands of spectators will gather at the historic grounds in Speedway, Indiana to view in awe as 33 gladiators of speed attempt to conquer the 2.5-mile oval for 200 laps.

The field of 33 drivers making up the grid for the Indianapolis 500 enter with different backgrounds and experience. One of the common threads among most of them is experience in karting. For many, the path to IndyCar and the Indy 500 began in karting – while others utilize the sport as training or to hone their skills and racecraft.

EKN has put together our own unique presentation of this year’s Indy 500 grid, highlighting each driver with a photo of their own karting experience, past or present.
