Industry Statement: High Rev Engineering

Engine builder issues statement on current status of company and efforts

The following is a statement EKN has received from Marc Zartarian of High Rev Engineering regarding the recent Superkarts! USA Rulebook Update. EKN is publishing the statement to inform the karting community, and we at EKN neither support or discredit the content of the statement.

To the Karting Community. Our Karting Clients and Family –

This statement will address the most recent SKUSA Bulletin.

At the 2017 SKUSA SuperNationals, HRE was sighted for a non-compliant infraction in the Mini Swift classification regarding slightly altering the top of Mini pistons. I was asked to perform this modification by a client.

Due to this infraction, SKUSA vilified me and banned me indefinitely. Since then, we have continuously demonstrated that we build 100% legal engines that completely comply with all engine rules. We have continued building engines and continued winning races at every level in every series.

I have since apologized to SKUSA several times and expressed to them I will not break the rules for anyone…or my business or my clients. I have learned my lesson.

It has been seven years and while I felt we were close to some resolution. Per SKUSA’s latest tech update, unfortunately, their position has not changed.

To set the record straight. We are welcomed and allowed to participate with our presence, engines, and services at ALL OTHER sanctioning bodies throughout the country, including the USPKS, Stars, ROK Cup USA, COTA and ALL other organizations – locally, nationally and internationally. We have been preparing 100% LEGAL ENGINES since our infraction, winning races at all series including SKUSA. We are compliant with all rules.

However, per SKUSA’s bulletin and their current position, I humbly and respectfully will no longer be preparing engines by High Rev for the SKUSA series.

I am welcomed, allowed, and will continue to prepare 100% LEGAL and compliant engines for all other series.

For engines that are SKUSA compliant, I am recommending “A.2.Z Racing Engines” by Arie Zimmermann.

In summary, I am writing this statement for a few reasons.

There has been heavy dissension, hate, disrespect, and conjecture towards me, my business and my family since the infraction. I am letting the public know. I made a mistake. I will not break the rules and I am 100% legal in everything I prepare. I hope this letter clarifies and sheds light as to who I am and how I conduct business.

I am also publicly announcing that I will no longer personally build engines by High Rev for SKUSA. I recommend “A.2.Z Racing Engines By Arie Zimmermann” for that service and series. You can contact Arie Zimmermann at 760-576-8665 or via email at a2zraceengines@gmail.com

In all other categories. I am compliant and still winning races and championships. I will continue to build 100% compliant legal engines through amassed amount of two-stroke knowledge, vigorous development, extensive dyno tuning and pursuit of technology.

I want to sincerely thank all of our current and loyal HRE clients for their patience and continued unwavering support now and since the infraction.

Respectfully,

Marc Zartarian
