Are you ready for more details about the EXGEL Driver Exchange Program? EXGEL Motorsport and J3 Competition (J3C) have joined forces to bring you an exciting opportunity that will be integrated into the Race Rotax 2024 US Trophy Series. This exclusive program will handpick three talented drivers – one each from the Mini MAX, Junior MAX, and Senior MAX categories – to represent the United States at a prestigious event in the MAX CHAMP series in Japan. Imagine yourself at the legendary Suzuka Circuit – Japan’s paradise for F1 and motorsports fans.

But that’s not all – from Japan, three top-ranked drivers will be selected in each category after four MAX Champ rounds, and will arrive at the New Castle Motorsports Park to compete in J3C’s Race Rotax US Trophy Final, scheduled for August 22-24, 2024.

Who is determining and selecting drivers? We’re pleased to have 1AIM’s Alessandro Bressan in the United States leading our scouting efforts. With a background in karting, GT, and prototype racing, Alessandro brings a wealth of experience to the table. His keen eye for talent and dedication to the sport make him the perfect choice for this important role.

On the Japanese side, we’re honored to have Ukyo Sasahara, a two-time Rotax Grand Finals winner, and Super GT GT500 standout, assisting as our scout. With his deep understanding of karting and a passion for nurturing young talent, Ukyo will play a pivotal role in identifying Japan’s brightest stars.

Here’s how it works for drivers from the US Trophy Series: competitors from the Mini, Junior, and Senior classes must participate in either the US Trophy West or US Trophy East Series and complete an application to be considered for the program. Alessandro will carefully review each application and select the most promising candidates to represent the US in Japan.

On the Japanese side, Ukyo will scout for talented competitors who will have the chance to showcase their skills at the US Trophy Final. It’s a unique opportunity to experience karting at its finest on an international stage.
