Stephen Eisert joins the Sodi Racing USA by Piquet Sports race team for the 2024 season

It has been a successful inaugural season for the new Sodi Racing USA program under The Karting Distribution banner at all levels of karting in the United States. The program is not resting as the 2024 season approaches, focused on expanding the dealer network and welcoming new drivers to the brand. Among the first main moves for the new year is signing Stephen Eisert as an official driver for Sodi Racing USA by Piquet Sports in 2024.

Eisert hails from Galt, California, completing his ninth season in the sport. The 16-year-old is coming off victory at the ROK Vegas event this past October in the VLR Senior division while finishing second in the 2023 Challenge of the Americas Senior 100cc championship standings. He added a win at the Spud Cup event in Idaho along with earning the ROK Sonoma Triple Crown award. Stephen has won at the ROK Fest West in 2022 along with placing fourth at the 2022 SKUSA SuperNationals as a Junior driver. He’s also claimed several pole positions at major events during his career.

“I am very excited and blessed to join such a successful team,” commented Eisert. “I am confident that I can succeed and win many races and championships with Sodi Racing USA. I’d like to thank Thierry, Carlos, and all of Piquet Sports for giving me an opportunity to chase my dream.”

Sodi Racing USA by Piquet Sports is welcoming Eisert for their 2024 program, focused on 100cc competition along with a handful of X30 Senior outings as well. Stephen will be contesting the SKUSA Winter Series, ROK Cup USA, Florida Winter Tour, Rotax Winter Trophy, SKUSA Pro Tour, United States Pro Kart Series and Stars Championship Series. He will also be a great asset to the youth program under the team tent, working and helping to coach the Cadet and Junior drivers.

“I was able to witness Eisert racing for the first time when I traveled to Challenge of the Americas event with our west coast dealer The Karting Collective,” stated Thierry Germanovich of Sodi Racing USA. “I was impressed with his performance that weekend and we’ve been keeping our eye on his progress throughout 2023. His victory at ROK Vegas convinced myself and Carlos Iaconelli to sign him as an official driver for 2024. Stephen is a very polite, talented young driver that comes from a great family. I am sure he will be a great mix with our team for the upcoming season.”

Sodi Racing USA by Piquet Sports is completing the 2023 season this weekend at the Sunshine State Karting Challenge at the AMR Homestead-Miami Motorplex presented by MG Tires. Spots are available for the winter programs to begin the 2024 season, including the SKUSA Winter Series, Florida Winter Tour, and the Rotax Winter Trophy.
