NWKD 206 Series Returns to PSGKA

It’s that time again that the Northwest Kart Dates 206 East Vs West Series is active for another weekend. This time it will be the West Division as it will come once again to Puget Sound Go Kart Association in Spanaway, Washington. The first round of the NWKD 206 West Series was at PSGKA that was a day full of rain and down pour. That didn’t stop any teams though as they embraced the rain. We all will wish for clear sky as the race will be on June 11th, 2017.

Junior 1 206-
Last time the series was at PSGKA, Jacob Rinka took the win with Hunter Hasseltine in second and Mason Smark in third. Can Jacob Rinka bring home another NWKD 206 win? In Junior One, you just don’t ever know who may show up. Morgan Packer won the 2nd round of the West division in Sumas, WA. Mason Smark has found speed lately as a few weeks ago; he placed second at the CanAm Series second round. This Junior One 206 is unpredictable to say the least.

Junior 2 206-
The Junior Two 206 is also unpredictable on who will show up. Last race at Sumas, WA, Elle Musgrave took home the win with Sam Barrera-Garcia in second. With a no show from point’s leader, Garrett Hoesel, it allowed E. Musgrave to become tie at the top of the points. You never know when a racer from the East Division will come over also. This one is anyone’s race.

Senior 206-
This is the race to watch. Brent McCullough (Tony Kart) holds on to the lead as he heads into round 4 for the Senior 206. Billy Weber (Ital Kart) is sitting in second after three rounds that haven’t suited him very nicely. Billy Weber is looking to make up ground and hoping on not having chain issues.

PSGKA is the home track for Huggler Racing and Kart Monkey Racing. Huggler Racing Driver, Craig Collins (Top Kart) has been impressive as he won the first NWKD 206 series race. Craig missed the SIMA race, which has put him in third in points. Another local racer, Kart Monkey Racing’s Jacque Rickords is one that you can count who will be upfront and battling for the win.

Brandon McCorkle(CRG), a racer who won a round at the IKF Gold Cup Region 6 in Boise, ID will be on hand looking to put his CRG up front and will look for that checkered flag once again.

The question is can Brent McCullough secure his lead by winning his first NWKD 206 Series Race? Can Billy Weber keep his chain on? The only way you will know is to be at PSGKA, June 11th, 2017

PSGKA is very welcoming in allowing the NWKD 206 Series come to their home track. NWKD 206 Series’ founder, Derek Bittle said this about going back to PSGKA, “We are very excited to have another round at PSGKA. We can’t wait to see how the track improvements since round one will impact the race. I think Senior 206 will be the field to watch all weekend. Can’t wait till June 11th”
