Andersen Racing Team Confirms Mathias Ramirez to Development Team
Confirmed today Florida based driver Mathias Ramirez joins Andersen Racing Team’s Mazda Road to Indy Driver Development Program.
Eddie Kish, VP of the Andersen program, had some exciting remarks about the team’s addition : “We are ecstatic to add such a strong name to our program. Mathias has already proven himself to be a top name in karting and his driving skill is remarkable. We hope to give him the extra refinement and structure needed for a successful career in motorsport.”
Looking to make his debut with the the team this coming weekend at the Epcot Challenge in Orlando, FL, the young talented Mathias Ramirez will try his hand aboard the Birel-Art chassis for the first time.
“I am very happy with the opportunity that the Andersen Racing Team has given me. This will be a new challenge for me, one to which I am looking forward very much. I am sure that this will be a learning experience, but I hope that I can also contribute great things toward my new team!”
Mathias will continue competing at the Rotax Grand Nationals in Sonoma, CA, as well as the Rotax Grand Final in Italy in October. Mathias will conclude his season in Las Vegas in November.
As the official karting team of the Mazda Road to Indy, members of the Andersen Racing Team receive an all inclusive service. Andersen can tailor a program to handle everything from kart maintenance and preparation, driving curriculum, career management, data acquisition, driver physical fitness program, race meeting logistics, driver entry into competition, visa services, transport to and from race meetings, accommodations at race meetings, and driver relations to press and media.
The Mazda Road to Indy (owned and operated by Andersen Promotions) is, aside from the Team’s parent company, one of the most successful driver development programs in the world, providing a unique, scholarship-funded path to reach the Verizon IndyCar Series and Indianapolis 500.
The team is headquartered at Andersen RacePark in Palmetto FL. The RacePark features a 1 mile test track for both karts and race cars.
