Nicholas d’Orlando Heads to Race City USA for Round Three of USPKS Series
Nicholas d’Orlando and the J3 Competition team will make their way to Race City USA this week to the GoPro Motorplex in Mooresville, NC for round three of the United States Pro Kart Series (USPKS). The Hartsdale, NY native is no stranger to the 0.7-mile, 11-turn track of GoPro Motorplex as he has had success here in the past bringing home back-to-back wins in last year’s United States Pro Kart Series (USPKS) MiniRok class.
“I am looking forward to racing at GoPro Motorplex again,” said Nicholas d’Orlando. “I’ve done pretty well here in the past and I’m looking to continue that success this weekend. The amazing team at J3 and I have gained some good momentum the past couple of events and we’re looking to keep our COMPKART chassis up front and bring home another strong finish this weekend.”
Nicholas and the J3 Competition team return to the USPKS series building on a solid sixth place finish in the last IAME Junior class race event at Shawano, WI. With Nicholas coming off his recent dominating performance and win in the Gear Up F1 series at Pittsburgh International Raceway, he and the COMPKART team are looking for yet another strong finish this weekend in the IAME Junior category at GoPro Motorplex in Mooresville, NC.
The event kicks off this weekend, July 8th – 10th. For live timing and scoring of the event go to http://www.uspks.com/live/.
