Joshua Stark and his JTS Motorsports team, led by Josh’s father, Jeff Stark, are preparing for another action-packed racing season in 2015 that will again focus on the World Karting Association’s four-race national Gold Cup Series for 4-cycle sprint racers and teams.

Josh, Jeff and the JTS Motorsports team will be traveling to Jacksonville, Fla.; Kershaw, S.C.; Camden, Ohio; and Barnesville, Ga., this year to race against many of the best 4-cycle sprint racers the eastern half of the country has to offer. The team will field a brand-new 2015 Coyote XP chassis and for the second consecutive season compete in the Junior Pro Gas Animal division.

“We’re looking forward to the upcoming season,” Jeff Stark commented from a cold and snowy upstate New York. “Joshua has improved throughout last year and he’s ready to score some feature wins and hopefully compete for a couple of national championships. With the help of Jim and Mark Lipari at Coyote, Steve Baker of Baker Racing Engines and many others, we believe we’re ready to challenge for championships. Josh likes Jacksonville and we run well there, so we’re eager to get the season started in March.”

As Stark battles on the national karting circuit again in 2015, the new season will mark JTS Motorsports’ first foray into a different form of racing. The team has purchased a U.S. Legends Car from former WKA Gold Cup competitor Jake Lutz and will look to compete at the Lake Erie Speedway in Pennsylvania and possibly a bit closer to home at Spencer Speedway in western New York.

Once Joshua gets behind the wheel of the car this spring, it will mark the first time the young wheelman has raced anything other than a kart, and will open a new chapter to Josh’s racing career as the team looks to make the full transition to Legends Cars in the near future.

“It’s a great opportunity to get started in the Legends Car and continue to chase my dream of becoming a WKA national champion in the Gold Cup Series,” Josh Stark said. “I’m really focused on making this season count in WKA, and with the races spread out enough, we’ll be able to get going with the Legends Car without affecting our karting.”

“We’re still very focused on kart and primarily the Gold Cup Series,” Jeff Stark added. “However we’re likely going to cut back our local karting program to spend some time racing the Legends Car. We want to move up and Joshua wants to race professionally some day, so we feel now is the time to move him into a car, and the U.S. Legends Car racing looks to be a great opportunity.”

As the winter season continues, the JTS Motorsports team is working to find new marketing partners for the 2015 season. The team is ready to offer packages for national and regional racing between the WKA Gold Cup national circuit and regional Legends Car racing.
