Anyone know the best way to identify a kart? I purchased a kid kart ~6 months ago that is supposed to be 7-10 yrs. old. The only identifier I have seen is the Margay steering knuckles.

Same questions for the wheels. We bent the outer rim of 1 wheel. Do I need to purchase a complete rim or look for a used section.

Over the weekend we bent the axle for the 1st time. It is 31.73mm and ~38" long. should I be looking for a 32mm or the 1.25"? Will any 38" x 1.25" axle work or do I need the manufacturer part? I have seen steel and aluminum. Is aluminum worth the effort and couple #s weight savings? The heaviest driver is 140#. Is a used worth the cost savings?

Thanks

Rich

If it is a split rim you could buy the 1/2 rim and replace it. The axle is more than likely a 1.25, I'd try to buy one that is the same thickness as the one you bent
