|
|
I need to pick up a quality neck brace for my son to use. He's 13 and just getting started.
Money aside, the 360 @ $180 vs the Leatt @ $400, wondering what others recommend or have personal experience with. I'm not willing to send him out on the track with a simple foam neck protector. God forbid he get's in an accident and gets hurt because I was being cheap!!!
Thanks in advance!!!

There both good products. My son uses the 360 Device and likes it, he has not tested it yet and I am sure he does not want to. One of his friends uses the Leatt and flipped his kart and walked away from A accident that looked like it could of been much worse with a foam collar.

| You may want to take a look at the EVS too. I just got the Leatt and I'm going to try it out this weekend for the first time. I got it because word is that it is the best out there, it is the most tested and apparently is the only one certified. They all work on the same principle and I am sure they will work fine. It might be more about a matter of fit, feel and adjustability. The Leatt is nice in that aspect; it will allow you to adjust for a better fit and that will make a difference in how effective it is. |

Either device will be better than a foam donut. The foam donuts, at best, only help with the weight of the helmet in a corner by not making your neck work as hard.
I run a Leatt myself. It isn't just flipping either, it's whiplash reduction. Were it not for my Leatt, I'm pretty sure this crash would have left me aching and hurting. No donut would do anything for that kind of whiplash. |

+1 more on the 360. I went off track in a TAG at full speed and hit a fence post sideways. The only thing that hurt was my shoulder was sore for about an hour where the 360 device transfered the impact from the helmet down to my shoulder. (like it was supossed to). Of course the kart got hurt though. No way would I send my kid out with a foam donut. _________________ Laukaitis Racing

Do these devices offer more support for helmet weight as opposed to a donut? Does your neck hurt more or less from helmet weight? How rigid are they? Do you have some range of motion while driving?
Thank You. |

| The EVS Evo, Leatt and the 360 are all approved supports as of last years rulings. |

Michael
My son uses the 360 device and says he feels more comfortable with the 360 as opposed to the standard donut, it doesn't impead any head movement side to side as he is always looking on either side,
