..Well, I was very dismissive of the plan to replace the 250 2 strokes with these one make (Honda) 600 cc , sealed, 4 strokes for the lower capacity Moto GP bikes. It has meant all the traditional 250 factory teams have gone , to be replaced by "chassis" teams.
However, if you can get to see the last race (Spain - Jerez) then dont miss it ! Surprised
40+ bikes on the grid, and many of them having a turn at the front of the field. ( several of them having a visit to the gravel as well !).
The lead was constantly changing and the winner not decided until the final corner.
Really excellent racing, ..even better than the Moto GP race that followed.

I wonder what the long term effect on manufacturers like Aprilia, Derbi, etc will be without the exposure that the 250 class gave them ?

I, too, have been very impressed with this class. MotoGP has been the best racing out there for quite a while, but I think it's being upstaged by its own support class.
