Most drivers will have experienced a stuck throttle at some time, and should know how to react when it happens. They cannot just pass all responsibility on to the manufacturer.

Ah, got to call you on that. Between myself, wife, dad, and brother, we probably have 130+ years of driving experience and over a million miles. Not a single stuck throttle during the entire time.

Just got back to the post, the driver looked to be in his mid fifties to sixty, the passenger around the same. He could've hit the gas by mistake. I do not think he did it on purpose because he could have been impaled by many things through the windshield. I've been hit by a car twice before and it is not fun. Interestingly, my Mother had her Toyota rev up and push her into oncoming traffic two years ago. Luckily no one hit her. The dealer kept her car for two weeks and told her it was driver error. Hard to believe, knowing her driving skills honed in Houston traffic (Houstoners will attest to the fact that if you can't drive there, you die). That was way before the Toyota problems went mainstream.

According to the government, all car manufacturers have had similar problems. It's just more common with toyota. I think the second worst rate was about half of the Toyota rate.

Wow twice!?! My friend I think you may just be a super hero the way you are surviving these incidents.
