I am building a fun kart, and was given a Yamaha 125. I am trying to find out what year it is, so that I can find a manual for it. The serial number is AT1-142108. It is a two-stroke, with oil injection, two spark plugs, points, and a Mikuni carb. I'm not sure if anyone can help, but hey, maybe somebody can shed some light on this. Thanks. |

| That would be the pint sized version of the famous DT1 250, the grand-daddy of modern era on/off road motorcycles. That's getting way back there in the memory banks, but as it is an AT1 (that's the model designation ), it's the first model, so I'm guessing somewhere around '70-71 is when they came out with the multiple size versions of the original 250. As an early 70's piston port engine tuned for general riding, don't expect it to be any kind of a neck-snapper in the power department. Just look for anything on the model AT1 |
