| Does anyone know the standard bore size of a Mc9 ? I think it would be the same as the 91B. Mine measures 2.167" and has .012" piston clearance. Just wondering if it needs a piston and which size to get for it. |

Jimmy:
All the Mac's after the 6 were 2.165 Stock bore, and sould be opened up to a +.030 using standard Mac pistons.
As for clearance, 0.007" was the prefered starting point and produced good resutls for us.
If you need pistons, gaskets, etc. I'd suggest Comet Kart Sales first. They probably have a lot of those old pistons on the shelf. If they can't help, try WEISCO pistons in Mentor Oh. They used to make them as an aftermarket item.
Good Luck |
