I have been told by some folk that the Horstman DXL will fit onto the "normal" short crank set up on a PRD RK100, but a kart shop have advised that a longer crank half is used. What is the facts ? Is there a Clutch which will fit onto the "standard" (short) IAME style crankshaft.
Thanks in advance for what is probably a 'no-brainer' question to you all!! |

If you can't find someone on these forums, You might try the 2 stroke forum at www.4cycle.com , many of those guys are into
building and modifying air cooled kart engines and might be able to help.

| Thanks for the suggestions guys,- i will follow them all up- , but this is not just a question about the PRD, really it is general for all 100cc 2-strokes, Yamaha, PCR, ITAL, Parilla etc who all have alternative "long" cranks for use with a clutch. I know they have various taper fittings, but it would sure be good to know for certain if there is a clutch design somewhere that will fit the "standard" short crank nose on any, or even only some of, them ????????? |
