Lets hear it. What do you think NASCAR is going to do and what do you think that they should do? Whats your opinion on the incident?

I think that there is a difference between being aggressive and what Carl did.

Wrong time, wrong place.......He might as well had a flashing neon sign saying "ya I was trying to wreck him" How many laps down??? and you pull a stunt like that, and dude your white gloves has go to go. Stevey Wonder could tell you turned on purpose.

NASCAR can't fine a driver enough for that type of on track retaliation.

i normally like Edwards but he should receive a huge penalty, points, and a 1 race suspension. he could've killed Brad and possibly several in the stands. The first incident was more Carls fault anyway. you can see from the replay that Brad backed off to let him in. he almost got ran over from behind by Labonte. payback at Bristol or Martinsville is one thing but going 190mph is over the line.
i lost alot of respect for Carl today.

He admitted on TV he didn't want it to go that far.. Pay backs a biotch..

Can they do anything to him?? they could... To be fair because it happens all the time Start next race with a BIG penalty if it happens again..

I always kind of liked Carl. I too have lost a lot of respect for him today.
That car very easily could have been in the fence and spewed debris into the crowd again. Then what would he have to say?

Nascar at it's finest hour........... did anyone notice that only about 2/3 of the seats were sold???? #12 has been a dirty driver forever and a preeck to bute. I say that Edwards went a little too far at the wrong time and came close to admitting that he did it on purpose, but the ole #12 has been asking for it since he started with Nascrap. It did provide some entertainment for an otherwise usual boring race.

GEEEEEEEZ: I bet theDUCK will be pretty PO'd Now Laughing Perhaps if I was the CEO of Scotts or Affleck I would be calling Jacko Roush and tell him Cousin Carl needs a MAJOR TIMEOUT. Certainly not the type of publicity the sponsors are after. Absolutely NO EXCUSE for it being 100+ laps down. What the Hell were you thinking Carl? What if there had been a Major disaster? I guess we will find out Tuesday what NASCAR will do.

I had to leave with 16 laps to go. I'm guessing Edwards wrecked Keselowski for the earlier incident. It looked like a racing incident. I thought Keselowski should have let him in but at the same time it did looked like Labonte was up Keselowski's tail pipe so I don't think it was something intentional, even if there was a history between the two. It looked like he let off. That's just racing.

Now granted, what Carl did wasn't the nicest or cleanest driving done by a professional driver, but it is far from the worst. Does no one remember Scott Speed's Cole Trickle performance, the Earnhardt/Waltrip fights, hell Senna/Prost at Suzuka? The fact is drivers do lose their cool and do stupid things. What makes this incident worse is NASCAR's decision to put a wing on a more or less flat bottom car, creating a condition similar to what prototype racers of the last few years have been plagued with. The car is aerodynamically unstable after a certain degree of rotation. With the old style car, this would have just sent the 12 spinning through the grass and taking away a top five. Was what Edwards did wrong? The answer is yes. But at least he had the balls to man up and admit that he did it on purpose.

Wasn't Scott Speed racing for a championship? And wasn't it a much shorter track? That's a little different.

I don't agree with what Carl did. But it was alot worse than it had to be. And I blame NASCAR! With all the brain power behind this new car, they just had to hang the towel hanger on the back!!!??? They couldn't figure out what was going to happen when the car gets turned around??? And to top it off, at the begining of the year they announce they are going to get rid of the wing, they say they are doing it because that is what the fans wanted!!!?? They are removing it because it completely defeats the roof flaps. And it gauls me that the can't admit it.

Edwards knew exactly what would happen to the car when it got spun around. The same thing happened to him last year, which resulted in fencing being taken out and spectators being put at risk. The announcers made the point multiple times to say the accident was almost a duplicate of what happened to Edwards. At a minimum, I think he should get to sit out a race. Let someone else drive the car so sponsors get in the race.

Very stupid move on Carl's part--any penalty should not involve money--but a multiple race sit-down--can you imagine how hard it is to retain National Sponsors when drivers pull stunts like these!--this intentional incident should be a huge set-back to Carl's career and popularity. To intentionally expose innocent spectators to this kind of stupidity really irritates me! Sit him down, NASCAR Guess that is why I like open wheel better than NASCAR!

I though Keso was out of line talking about killing people. Leave that to the press or someone else.

I thought it was a cheap shot to further his POV ...
