| I've seen some of the K&N filters (I think they are called the X-Stream model) being used on Yamahas. Anyone tried them? Which model works best...tapered/reverse tapered, etc.? |

| We have to run an airbox here so i can't tell you,a motor is just an air pump so i can't see why it wouldn't hurt |

Any K&N will work better than just about anything else.
As for performance, I have seen little difference in various configurations.
I think the best way to go is an airbox with the adapter and the big K&N external. I put this together for the 99 GNs because I wanted to make sure my motors didn't get dusted in practice.
I qualifiying I missed the front row by less than .01s in KT LT, so I don't think it slowed me down any. |
