Most rules from last year carry through, but how's bout we do a 6-5-4 for points? Seems a bit more realistic and keeps the basic balance of the points intact.

Next race we'll have a real thread with a poll and all that. Good seeing everybody... I need to go bug Kim, Yaani-Mai and a bunch of the other KS refugees. Smile

Edit: Before I forget. Um... Vettel, Alonso, Schumi

2nd Edit: POINTS! Congratulations to Chris Livengood for nailing the bonus on the first race of the new season! Very cool...

PS: Same rules that picks have to be in before qualifying starts

Great, glad to have you back.
Looks like Ferrari and RB have the top three in Q

Dave, really, 9:04 am on Sunday?
Bonnier's original rules:
1) All picks in before qualifying starts. Picks call both driver and podium position.
2) Five points for getting the driver in the right podium position, two points for getting the driver in the wrong podium position. Ten bonus points for getting all three right. (yes, that means calling the whole podium wrong is worth less than getting two drivers right)

Larry's rules:
3) One point for calling the qualifying order perfectly.
4) Pickers who stop participating may be dropped from the standings at the discretion of the guy doing the work to tally points every coupla weeks.
5) Pickers who miss a week but continue to participate in general will have their picks carried forward for another race or two. Previous rule kicks in when I feel like being lazy.
6) Bonus cookies may be awarded at that guy's discretion for picks showing huge cajones.
7) Guy keeping the points isn't getting paid and is widely known to be pretty bad at math. (how can an enginerd be bad at math?) Let me know if I missed something and I'll fix it. It really is that simple. Just a PM is all it takes.

Nice job nailing it Chris.

Greg,

I was making fun of someone else who wanted to change their picks are qualifying, and figured hey if we are going to allow changes after qualifying why not pick the winners.

I didnt make my picks for this week, but I did check out the speedtv league. pretty cool i thought. If you win you get a 52" LCD TV. First 2 races are practice so gives everyone a chance to figure out picks and points. I setup a league for EKN if anybody wants to join.

I tried to get in, but the Howden/karting kept getting rejected.
So what do you have to do?

League Name: EKN Official F1 League
Password: karting

I think you have to start a team then you can search for the league. I thought it would have a link to setup a team in that league on the page i linked but i guess not.

once you have a team setup you can search for the league by the name and use the password to get in.

Matt - you and I both have mini-leagues going which is all good with me. IT's a weird software package for sure, you can't communicate with others and I can't make heads or tails of the points structure, but it's yet another distraction I probably don't need.

Anyway, glad to see people having fun again this year... Smile -la

Is the Aussie GP on CBS or something this weekend? I just checked Speed and they don't have it listed Saturday night or a Sunday rebroadcast.

Anyway, my picks are:
Vettel
Massa
Webber
