|
|
The new head of the IRL and ex-Professional Bull Riders chief, Randy Bernard, has announced the following changes starting at the opening IRL race of the 2010 season.
Drivers will now straddle their cars instead of sitting in them.
Vehicle control devices will now be a set of spurs and a single rope attached to the steering wheel.
Corner workers with flags will be now be dressed as clowns and use barrels to warn drivers of changes in course conditions.
Beer will still cost a fortune.
Anyone got any others? |

If you can do all of that and build up a lead of 8 seconds you win. _________________ birel. Nothing else will do. |

| My first thought was that IRL executives now had to dress like clowns... |

They've been clowns for so many years
does it matter how they dress? _________________ I love deadlines. I love the swooshing noise they make as they go by!

That gives the Delta Wing car and edge with the narrow nose.

| The same flags will be used with the exception that the white with red stripes/oil spill/fluids on course flag will now be a bull taking a dump. |

Any statement that can insult all clowns is well put. |

| Drivers are now required to wear a$$le$$ chaps--resulting in even more attention for Danica. |

Most recent amendment to tech regs: "Effective immediately, drivers shall be seated by straddling the top of the air intake."
Yet another advantage for Danica, especially on a rough track. And those "two large ones" David Hobbs is always talking about will be no advantage at all.
Corresponding amendment to competition regs: "While the vehicle is in motion, drivers shall have one arm above their heads at all times." |

In the event the driver is dislodged but not thrown free the car immediately goes to full steering lock, locks the inside front brake, applies full throttle and does Zinardi donuts until the corner worker clowns can jump on the car and shut it off. _________________ birel. Nothing else will do. |

Nice add-ons, Jim and John!
Indy update: Newbie drivers must complete a rookie test: 10 laps onboard a dairy cow and observed by seasoned veterans, as determined by the IRL/PBA. |

Kevin : you need to be more specific reguarding dairy cows As a former dairy cow rider AND THATS NO BULL I always thought the Holsteins had a better chasis than say the guernseys, .jerseys,or brown swiss. Sorta like comparing LOLA's with Dallara's _________________ Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways totally worn out, shouting, "Holy **** what a ride!!!". |
