Excellent driver karting until 2003, then passed through Formula Renault, Formula 3 and the Indy Light Cyndie Allemann will participate in 24 hours of Le Mans 2010 on a Ford GT1 Team Switzerland Matech Competition. Crew 100% female associate Natacha Gachnang him and another driver to be determined.
Cyndie does not hide her impatience to participate in this unique event: "Being involved with a Ford GT1 makes the adventure even more beautiful as the original car, the famous GT40, won the 24 Hours of Le Mans from 1966 to 1969.
After a difficult year 2009, the adventure goes again to Cyndie. The Swiss girl wants to erase the bad memories and return to center stage. In this context, the 24 Hours of Le Mans offered her a great opportunity and a unique experience.
Rendezvous 12 and June 13 at the Circuit de la Sarthe mythical to encourage the team and Cyndie Matech Competition for their participation in the first 24 hours.

| Now, here is the gal to replace Daytona Danica when/if she moves onto NASCAR totally. She is beautiful, talented, and has a delightful French accent to her perfect English. Ran a few times in Firestone Indy Lights but didn't have the funding to continue. I wish her the best--she is a terrific racer! |

I have to agree with linda on that one . Perhaps if she has success it may open some doors here in USA for ALMS or Grand AM series rides. _________________ Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways totally worn out, shouting, "Holy **** what a ride!!!". |

at the end of the day no one cares if danica or cydnie is good looking because wins are what counts. they will only get by on thier looks for so long. im not being sexiest cause i think that Danica is a great driver, i just dont think she is big enough or strong enough to muscle an ill handling NASCAR for 500 miles.

Forty some years ago, nearly the same thing was said about a young, upcoming male driver you may have heard of:
His name was Mario Andretti. The "Good Ole Boys' said he was too small and not strong enough to muscle a NASCAR stocker over 500 miles. He responded by winning the Daytona 500
BTW, 40 years ago the tin tops didn't have labor saving devices such as power steering and cool suits like they do now.
I have no idea how Danica (and the other women drivers) will do in NASCAR, but if they fail it won't be because of their size (fitness is a different question).

That's probably a wise strategy. |
