Just a heads up to those who may be a bit older, a bit heavier, and a bit poorer. F1NJ has created a class just for you. World Formula by Briggs is an all in one low maintenance solution that can get someone into competition karting at a VERY reasonable price. The retail WF package includes the fuel pump, air filter, clutch, onboard starter and header for less than a grand NEW. This motor can be raced right out of the box with no blueprinting required to make it competitive. Rebuilds are needed no more often than once a year, if that. Plus it runs on pump gasoline. No messing with fuel/oil mixtures or annoying alcohol carb maintenance.

This class is a chance for someone who may not be able to afford TaG packages to race in what will be a VERY competitive, lower cost, and extremely reliable competition karting package

Please see the class rules here.......
Briggs World Formula Heavy-----Age 15 & Older-----385 lbs. minimum
ENGINE: B&S Stock World Formula Engine
FUEL: Gasoline ONLY
SPEC TIRES: Bridgestone YKD ( first year of class will be flexible )

Body work can be either Gold Cup style or CIK as per WKA rules. So if you buy a used chassis with either you won't have to change it over to one or the other.

You can also run this package in the Raceway Park Unlimited class which is open tire.

I'll be posting in this thread about chassis' that will work with the WF's but here's a short list to get you started. Many of these can be found used for less than $1K provided one digs around a bit.
Arrow AX9 4S
Margay 4.x
Coyote Wide Track LE, GL, XP versions
Bandit Y2K '04 and newer
Emmick Cobra '97 and newer
Italkart Rapido

I've also heard that Tony Kart Evxx's and CRG Kali's work with limited, or no modification to the right side seat strut. I'm still researching other chassis' compatibility. If anyone uses a WF with any other chassis, could you please post your experiences/applications here.

Lastly, these motors are not slow. They will run with Yamaha 4-hole can packages all day and at considerably lower maintenance levels and expense. If I can help anyone get started or if someone would like some more information, please email me at kartracer20@verizon.net

Cheers,
Todd
