Benn H : You are correct the Bernie we have is OK the F-1 Uncle Bernie still seems to make decisions that are are in HIS best interest rather than the sports best interest.

When the Grand Prix came to Phoenix years ago (89 to 91) I was surprised to see where the purse for first place was only around $3500.

The money that people earn in F1 had/has to be appearance and TV money, now days all controlled by Bernie. :

Exactly Benn,
The money is in the points total for the season. Particularly the Manufacturers Championship points which is the basis for divi'ing up the TV money

Strange. An American upstart team is in dire need of cash, yet CNN (an Atlanta based company) decided to sponsor Lotus, a Malaysian upstart team. Then again, considering it’s CNN, I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. Rolling Eyes

That article states that neither Anderson or Windsor were at the factory when it was shut down. I hope there is a valid excuse for both being absent. It speaks to a lack of integrity that one of them couldn't be there for such an announcement.

It looks like they still have to make a withdrawal of there entry to the FIA so Stephan GP can fill the void . I wonder if we will ever hear the REAL story behind this SCAM. I also wonder where " SUGAR DADDY"
Chad Hurley will take his cash ? How about RR Karting in the USA or Title Sponsor for SUPERKARTS Question

Al : I saw the posting from FIA about STEPHAN GP ,But FIA gave no reason that they could NOT enter the 2010 season . I understand there were deadlines to meet . But with Charlie Whitings visit completed in the past you would have thought FIA would have made contingency plans . Truly an EMBARRASSMENT to the other competitors . Hold your breath all you want but after this DEBACLE you will NEVER see Anderson or Windsor on another team as Principals. That has about as much chance as OBAMMY winning his next election Laughing Embarassed

Barry could not beat Jean Todt, but if MAx Mosley was still in office he could beat him. Max might even like it.
