The EKN Awards 2009 program has been released along with the nominations for the six categories. The Excellence Awards honor those who performed at their best in 2009 for drivers, teams and mechanics.
To view the nominations for each category, click over to http://www.ekartingnews.com/news_info.php?n=14333
To submit your ballot, email your list to the EKN News Desk at news@ekartingnews.com with the subject ‘EKN Awards 2009 - Username’. The ‘Username’ must be the name you have registered for the EKN Forum. _________________ David Cole

YOUNG DRIVER OF THE YEAR
NICK NERI .... I lost count of how many races and championships Nick won last year. FWT, RMax Challange, WKA, and in FKCS he won like 10 out of 10 races
MECHANIC OF THE YEAR
Kyle Kraus (Driver: Nick Neri) Nick could not have done without the best..
DRIVER OF THE YEAR
Cody Hodgson A great Driver, a great family,

Driver: Kyle Shriver 7 Tag Sr wins 7 HPV4 SR wins and 2 Duffy's( in 1 race season ) not to mention all the 2nds
Mechanic of the year: DJ Silva 3 Championships Jacob Neal 1 Championship Kyle Shriver over 40 wins with 2 drivers in 1 season,,,thats the man right there _________________ What one sacrifices is never lost |

Congrats to all the nominees.
Young Driver of the Year: Tristan DeGrand. 2009 FWT KF3 champion, CKI KF3 Champion. These championships required consistency from one event to another. Tristan is an excellent driver and racing student. He is a factor in every race.
Mechanic of the Year: Todd DeGrand. What he lacks in mechanical skill, he makes it up by being a Great Dad and Coach!!!
Team of the Year: J3 Competition. Good Chemistry on this team. When a driver is not having their best day, other drivers are there to provide support even though they compete against each other on the track. |
