I did not know that Ed Carpenter was TG's stepson. _________________ Sex is like pizza. When it's good it's great and when it's bad, it's still pretty good. |

| EC actually seemed to have a few good runs last year but, yeah, a total nepotism ride. |

Quite honestly, I wasn't sure how Special Ed got there. Now, it all makes sense. _________________ Sex is like pizza. When it's good it's great and when it's bad, it's still pretty good. |

So that was you standing in the infield with me back in 2001 at the Indy Mile when Ed dumped the Silver Crown Car, out of the blue.
That has to be one of the weirdest one car dumping’s that I’ve ever witnessed, in my life. |

I wouldn't count TG out. I don't claim to know what he's doing, but I'd be real surprised if he was really done.
Remember when Henry Ford put Edsel in charge, announced thier product line would not change in the future, then went sunbathing in Florida? Anybody remember what happened after that? |

I figured that was coming Keith. Touche
| Quote: | | Ford: The Men and the Machine by Robert Lacey |
he basically faked events that would put his company at obvious disadvantages, when the stock tanked he swooped in and bought out the other investors. The Dodge brothers, Walter Chrysler. Real good book. Very interesting man.
There's also a DVD starring Cliff Robertson worth a look.
As for TG, I think he may be spiting his sisters right now. |

Take from www.speedtv.com article on Tony George's ousting / resignation.
“Our company is healthy and weathering the economic recession well,” said Mari Hulman George. “Jeff Belskus (president and CEO of IMS) and Curt Brighton (president & CEO of Hulman & Company) are both doing excellent jobs in guiding our companies through this difficult time. Many hard decisions have been made and now our companies are well positioned for the future.” _________________ Driver: Chloe St. George

| Tony must have really ticked off his ma & sisters, I don't imagine you will see him at the unemployment or food stamp offices in the near future. He did most likely spend close to a billion dollars with the Indy League and that might have affected the family funds a little but not as much as we would think. Gee, I feel so sorry for the guy.................................NOT! |
