Which Sniper for my CRG Blackstar

I recently purchased a CRG Blackstar. It is my first good kart and I know little about how to set up the front end. I am told I need a Sniper V2. How can I confirm this?

No front brakes. I run in 100 CC Yamaha Senior class.

We haven't had any issues with the V2 (other than one laser only works occasionally) but we have never used the slide on type.
