Congrats to all of the ARROW group for a great job done !!!! Eric Jones did a hell of a job in masters - and the 1st ROTAX !!!!
What a shame that happen to David Sera in the Final - looked liked he was taken out by a competitor's team mate....makes you wonder if there is a connection?????
my 2 cents worth !!

The organizers should rename this event for next year( SUPERINTERNATIONALS XIV) with drivers coming for all over the world. (26 different country's i was told) for all those drivers and teams that participate in this year event THANK YOU, was awesome to watch you racing like you did guys. _________________ Racing for the pure art of racing. |

Great point!
I wasn't able to participate this year but wondered if Murley looked like he was getting off on all the action? Kind of like Pro Moto gone wild or something!
Hopefully this sets the tone for the Regional Skusa Pro Tour Series and the related National events that will go along with those. I know it would be good to race with some of the racers from other states and regions again.
Great job Tom, Patti and the A-Team! The feedback seems to indicate I may have missed the greatest Karting event ever in North America! Hopefully there is more to come.
Even better than the superiority of the event was the level of safety!!! Nice adjustment.

I got to talk to Murley a few times and he loved being there. He had nothing but good things to say about what Tom had done for SKUSA and karting. He even went to the party at the Voodoo Lounge and was having a great time. _________________ Sex is like pizza. When it's good it's great and when it's bad, it's still pretty good. |

Yes, Tom Kutscher noted after the races were done, that there were no ambulance runs during the course of the weekend. A big difference compared to last year; so the revised track layout definitely worked out this time.
Plus, of course, the tireless dedication of the SKUSA track officials, staff, and volunteers. The track crew constantly put themselves in harms way in order to remove disabled karts and drivers off the racing surface.
Not to mention all the other stuff they had to contend with: burning in the desert sun for hours on the pavement, then freezing when the sun ducked behind the Rio, making high-pressure race calls that could affect the outcome of a race, crowd control, hustling to keep on schedule, scrambling to put the plastic barriers back together after a kart ran into (and sometimes through) them while the race is still proceeding, chasing spectators away from the wall seperating the main straight and the railway, getting knocked over by irate karters going after the driver that took them out in the race... This was the first time I saw a SKUSA crew in person and I can see why they are so valued in a high-profile event like this one.
After reading about the event for 12 or so years now, I finally attended the SKUSA Supernationals in person. All the things I saw, and the people I met, (and video I took), I couldn't fit into a few simple paragraphs here. Maybe in a seperate post somewhere else, but needless to say, it was a fantastic event to witness, and I wasn't dissapointed. Great job SKUSA. _________________ C. Skowron

Thank you Tom and Patti for putting on a great event. I especially want to THANK YOU for adding the 3 Tall Bleachers. I know this was a significant added expense, but this was much appreciated by all the spectators. With the continued expansion of the SuperNat's you should probably plan to add another bleacher or two.

Thanks to the entire Supernats crew! Was definitely the best karting weekend I have ever been a witness to! The spectator viewing was vastly improved from last year!
Superpro was a great race to watch and congrats to Fritz and Ron White! And I don't know how many of you watched the S3 race, but my vote for drive of the year is to Tyler Bennett! Fast all weekend with a heat win and two seconds. Was run over in the main while running in second resulting in a smashed up kart (S shaped radiator, broken number fairing, bent steering column, bent tierod, etc) and dropping back to ?9th? where he put in fast lap of the race bringing it all the way back to finish in a drag race challenging for 2nd! My hat is off to him! _________________ Nate Waterfall

Cyndie only competed in 2 club races in ICC and both were this past summer at Homestead, she was very happy with her result, she was 4th fastest in the 2nd heat, she really was happy and I was pleased to have helped her out so she could race the Supernats, she was totally pumped for this race, a very intense racer , but also one of the nicest people i have met |

I would also like to thanks Gary carlton, he helped out tons with his coaching this past few months, I had a blast in my first supernats race, to be driving shifters for just a little under 7 months and compete was totally fun, this could of went a little better but when you break in qualifying and start 2nd to last in the heat races it kills ya.
Also want to thank Homestead Karting as none of this would of been possible with out them |

Is there any way possible that the race could be put on HD like a few years back? is was live back then and now there are many more HD viewers than in the past.
Can anyone get the old HD broadcast to run again?
just wondering |

Now that I am finally home and had a chance to sleep more the 3 hours, I just want to sincerely thank all of the SKUSA staff for one of the most honorable efforts I have ever been a part of.
Please forgive me if I do not mention everyone by name as I do not want to forget any single person who was part of the most impressive effort ever displayed in karting.
From track set up to clean up and every segment in between, you are truly the new A-TEAM
In my normal day to day life I am a project manager. A manager supervises a team who needs constant supervision or management.
As the SuperNats director, I head up a team who all has the heart and soul joined to complete a mission. There is no management, all I have to do is direct a true team working under one heart to achieve the ultimate goal, "The BEST KARTING EVENT EVER, you have surely accomplished that. My hat is off to all of you.
To the competitors, your acknowledgement of a great event is you attendance, for that, I thank each and every one of you for attending this historic event in karting.
Just wait until next year !!!! |
