I was at OVRP and saw a kid in a kart with oval body work. Everyone was like "weird" anyways the kid had either a WF or a briggs 5hp. Anyways he went to practice with some kt's and one micromax kart, and guess what. He dominated all, he passed me in my kt100, then again hes 160lbs lighter. But he beat a kid in a micro max rotax with the same weight. Ever since then ive been looking at the 4 cycles in a different way

Why are you surprised ?
A stock WF has more power (15hp) than a can KT and a bunch more torque.
Also , some of those " oval karts" will have motors much better than a WF...
... but also much more costly ! Surprised

PS: .. there is a big difference between a Briggs 5hp and a WF !

In my humble opinion, the World Formula is absolutely the best value in karting. I'm not even sure if Briggs is aware of how good it "can be". ( hint: animal PVL coil, stiffer valve springs??? )

I wish the karting community would realize that the WF is the logical heir apparent to the KT100 4 hole can.
