Round three of the new Championship Karting International program will take place this weekend at the CalSpeed Karting facility in Fontana. The Grand Prix of California will feature roughly 80 entries at current pre-entry count with the IAME fields looking strong.

The eKartingNews.com crew is currently on its way to sunny LA to set up for a solid weekend of racing. We will have complete coverage of the event, including the Preview on Friday with the entry list, followed later that day with the Qualifying report. Saturday will see three heats per class take place with Sunday hosting the Prefinal and Finals. This thread will have updates throughout the weekend, including the quick and timely top-10 from each session as they hit the scales.

Hi Michelle,

Practice is underway and david is working to get the preview finalized now that we have the official entry list. We'll be back with a little overview of morning practice and will make a few predictions for you.

Weather is cloudy and warm right now.
