Ok 1st off I was being stupid

Now thats out of the way, I seized the rod bearing on a stock Raptor I . Guess I did not check the oil level correctly.

Anyway rod pieces are melted to the crank and .015 over bore piston is severly scuffed.

Is there a replaceable bearing in the rod?

What is the ARC rods I see on ebay?
Can the crank be saved?
How do I get the right bearing clearances, what is the clearance?
If I go to a .030 over size piston what are the skirt clearances.
and ring clearances

is there a place I can buy a complete rotating assembly? do these things get balanced?

Hi Joe,

If you were running the stock Briggs rod there is no bearing insert. You may be able to salvage the crank but it might not be worth the effort, new ones are about $130 list. Yes, if you're going to keep running the raptor you should switch over to a billet rod. Otherwise you'll end up with a hole in the block eventually.

There are a ton of used parts out there for these engines so you don't necessarily have to buy new stuff. I have plenty of pieces if you want to put your engine back together including brand new blocks. I'm also an authorized dealer for Briggs and ARC so whatever you need chances are I've got it.

But, new LO206 Animals are only $509.95 and they'll run for a good long time without any hassle. As long as you keep oil in them that is Wink

Give me a call at 480-503-2337 if you have any questions.

Thanks,
